MANDATETo support the implementation of the 2015 Agreement on Peace and Reconciliation in Mali, in particular its political and security key provisions, by supporting the efforts of the Government and the signatory armed groups concerned, ensuring the full and active participation of civil society, including women and youths organizations; To support the cantonment, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) of the signatory armed groups;TTo support the redeployment of reformed and reconstituted Malian Defense and Security Forces in the North and the Center of Mali and to ensure coherence of international efforts to rebuild the Malian Security sector, consistent with the provisions of the Agreement ;To ensure the protection of civilians at risk of immediate threat of physical violence and to provide specific protection for women and children affected by armed conflict, without prejudice to the primary responsibility of the Malian authorities;To facilitate the holding of peaceful, inclusive, free, transparent and fair elections;TTo support the promotion and defense of human rights, in particular in the areas of justice and reconciliation, and bring to justice those responsible for serious violations or abuses of human rights or violations of international humanitarian law;To support the Malian authorities to stabilize the key population centers, notably in the North and Center of Mali, through active patrolling to anticipate, deter and counter threats ;TTo exercise its good offices, confidence-building measures and facilitation at the national and local level in order to support reconciliation focused on dialogue with and among all stakeholders towards reconciliation and social cohesion and to encourage initiatives to reduce intercommunal tensions;
