FPA NEWS FPA SECRETARY VACANCY Unfortunately, due to other commitments and an increased workload, our brilliant secretary will be stepping down from her role at the end of the school year. We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team. The role is voluntary and the ideal candidate would have good administrative and communication skills or some experience of this role. Please contact: [email protected]

FPA Events 2019 20 March FPA Meeting 29 March Coffee Morning 29 June Fun Day 8 November Fireworks 23 November Christmas Market JOIN OUR TEAM If you are looking to get involved and make a difference plus meet some other parents, then now is the perfect time to join the FPA. Running events and working alongside the school, gives us the opportunity to help enhance our children’s time whilst they are at Farringtons. Just some of the items donated by the FPA last year were out-door tables, a clock for the garden, new sports kits, Cricket nets, a new Trim Trail and playground items for the junior school plus a sound system for the Chapel. None of this would be possible without your continued support or the work of the FPA. We meet once a month and welcome new members. Our next meeting committee meeting 20 March 2019 7.30pm (In the Dining Hall) Please contact [email protected] for further information. We have some fantastic events planned over the coming months so watch this space! FPA SHOP We currently have a large selection of schoolblazer.com trousers in pristine condition, we are offering these at 2 pairs for £8.00 while stock last. As the weather can still be miserable and cold, we also have a stock of new black leggings and white base layer tops to wear under PE kits, for £32.00 each. The FPA shop is open on a MONDAY during term time from 8:00 – 9:00 am and after school from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. If you are unable to get to the shop you can always email us for specific items, we do operate a waiting list system for any items currently out of stock. Phone and leave a message or text on Tel: 07305 088 831 or email [email protected] The junior and senior receptions also carry a selection of new items such as socks, ties and swim hats and don’t forget those winter accessories as the weather is still chilly. We are happy to receive any unwanted uniform you may have, so please drop it into the shop during opening hours or leave at reception marked for our attention.

IMPORTANT NEWS As of 1 February 2019 online payments for uniform shop items should be paid to the following account: Metro Bank Account number: 31425565 Sort code: 23-05-80 Account name: Farringtons Parents’ Association Ref: SHOP You may delete the Barclays account details previously held. Please note that we will no longer allow items to be taken from the shop on credit and that all items must be paid for at time of purchase. Customers may pay by cash, card or through online banking. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued support. MATCH FUNDING Many large companies offer match funding benefits to employees - where they match a figure your chosen charity raises - up to £700 per time. We'd love to hear from anyone whose company offers this benefit, as we are a registered charity so could increase the revenue from the events we run enormously. If just a handful of parents stepped forward it would make a massive difference. Your HR department will be able to confirm if your company participates in the scheme – most large banks do as well as other sectors. FOLLOW US www.facebook.com/FarringtonsParentAssociation

THE GIVING MACHINE www.thegivingmachine.co.uk/ Simply log onto the website and enter the FPA as your elected charity. Each time you shop on your favourite online stores through the Giving Machine website (not Apps), the FPA will receive a charitable donation. It’s very simple and just the same as shopping direct, so why not give it a go and do something worthwhile at the same time that will enhance the school life of your child.
