On InBox’s first Caribbean cruise, we did an eight-day cruise, then flew home to handle business matters and returned for a second ten-day cruise. InBox performed beyond our expectations in strong Caribbean tradewinds on our open-ocean, inter-island passages. This was one of the early cruises for this new boat, yet we had no mechanical or electrical problems, and no problems with sails or rig. In fact, the biggest stress was untangling a water hose from the mooring lines of an off- shore watering buoy! Ecological Best

Martin’s Dominica tour through a “Garden of Eden”upland enroute to the rain forest and waterfall; small plots effortlessly growing bananas, pineapple, grapefruit, coffee, corn, oranges, coconuts, medicinal herbs, cocoa beans, and cinnamon bark;

Martin’s rowed tourup the tree-covered,narrow, windingIndian River.

Toughest Drive

Across the vertiginous spine of Grenada on a road that was once perilous and isnow way beyond that due to hurricane damage, but ameliorated by a truckload of people who chorusedhelpful directions – clearly a successful product of a campaign to make Grenada tourist friendly.

Sharpest Contrast

Queen Juliana Airport in St. Maarten; clean, cool,well-executed, functional architecture with acres of concrete runways compared to the narrow pot-holed road connecting Phillipsburg, the capitol,and requiring 45 minutes of stop-and-go driving tocover four miles.
