Apply white face paint right round the eyes, extending out to each side of the face. 2. Apply strokes of white face paint across the top of the forehead. 3. Outline the eyes with black eyeliner, creating dramatic flicks at each side. 4. Dust the whole face – forehead, cheeks, bridge of the nose, chin and lips – with glitter. (A slick of Vaseline on the lips will help it stay in place.) 1. Cut a deep V in the gold cardboard starting at the bottom two corners, cutting to the top up the centre of the card. Roll it round to create a tall, thin cone and staple or Sellotape together. 2. Apply glue round the cone. Wind the ribbon around the cone and affix. 3. On either side of the cone, snip two flaps (and cut off excess), creating two tabs to attach the cone to the headband, and tape into place. FACE PAINTING YOU WILL NEED: Silver face glitter White face paint Black eyeliner TO MAKE THE UNICORN’S HORN YOU WILL NEED: Headband Sheet of gold paper or cardboard Gold ribbon Stapler or Sellotape Glue

3. to create ‘hair’, apply strokes of brown face paint randomly all over the face.

4. Draw two white fangs on either side of the mouth and add red face paint to each tip for extra effect.

1. Create scales by using the green and yellow face paints. Work your way around the face creating clusters of circles –yellow tipped with green on the forehead and cheeks, gradually getting darker as you work your way down until they are dark green on the chin.

2. Ring the eyes all the way round in orange and add vertical lines down the middle in black.

3. add more green and yellow circles round each eye.

4. Draw a long thin red line outward from each side of the mouth.

5. add silver fangs on each side.

1. Cover the forehead, cheeks and nose with short strokes of black face paint, to give the appearance of fur. add a black nose.

2. Draw a stroke of red under each eye.

3. add some triangular white fangs at each side of the mouth.

4. Draw two simple ear shapes on black paper or cardboard and tuck them into the turnup of a woollen beanie.
