Where I’m Heading (CliffNotes)• Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is based on the book that everyone at Hogwarts had to

read.• It is a collection of “magizoologist” Newt Scamander's descriptions of 85 different magical creatures

encountered on five different continents during his broad travels.• Tells the story of Newt Scamander's (Eddie Redmayne) arrival in New York City in 1926.• Some of the magical creatures in his possession escape, so he and some new friends must save NYC

from disaster and the wizarding community from ruin.• Takes place 70 years before the events of the Harry Potter books.• Three protagonists are all American: Tina and Queenie Goldstein (who are sisters), and Jacob

Kowalski.• Less of a coming-of-age story that Harry Potter was, and revolves more around how Newt and his

friends handle life as adults within the magical community.• Has a love story element to it.• Explores the tensions between the wizarding and No Maj communities in New York.• The main villainous force in the movie is the New Salem Philanthropic Society, an extremist

organization with a mission to eradicate all of wizard-kind (how topical, I know).

Where I’m Heading (CliffNotes)• I had to make this Harry Potter minimalist poster

because I believe it really defines the franchise.• You see these three symbols apart or together, and you

immediately know what movie or franchise it is.• What they did with the last installment is what needs

to happen for the Fantastic Beasts trilogy.• Saying that is MUCH easier than making it happen, but

hopefully that’s what’s going to happen.• The bottom four symbols are what could perhaps be

the next in the trilogy, and hopefully they’ll strike the same cord as the top three in 10 years time.

Harry Potter Franchise

Axis Title

• Over 8 films, our audience grew with our box-office.

• 55% were over age 25 for the last two films.

• First film debuted with an audience that was 60% under the age of 15.

• Suggests that our audience for Fantastic Beasts should be a great combination of Harry Potter fans and younger movie-goers.

Promotional Idea #1• Partner with General Mills for a

“Fantastic Beasts” cereal.• Include the character, wand or

other toy from the film.• Include marshmallows based on

any of the Beasts in the film.

Page 6: Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them Campaign

Promotional Idea #2• Partner with a healthier snacking

company to create these Beastly snacks.• Could give them away at our advanced

screenings or sell them at the concession stands for a healthier alternative.

Page 7: Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them Campaign

Promotional Idea #3• Treat it like the previous two

promotional ideas.• Theme out the snacks to

represent the Beasts in the film.• Could set up a reward program

where you bring in “x” number of box-tops and you get a dollar off of your price of admission or we could give some to charity, much like J.K. did for the Fantastic Beasts book.

• Partner with local, nationally ranked Zoo’s in the United States, where they get a reduced price if they bring a box-top in or their movie ticket.

Creative Idea #1• Since the film takes

place in 1920’s New York City, we could commission old-time Taxi’s to drive around and pick up people in themed out Fantastic Beasts Taxi Cab’s.

• Ideally this would take place in a touristy, high-traffic area like Times Square.

Promotional Idea #3• Easter falls on Sunday, March

27th, so we host an Easter egg hunt at both Wizarding World parks on Saturday, March 26th.

• Reach out to Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter online fan bases through our social media sites, and anyone who “likes” or retweets or shares something special with us that we ask of them would be entered into the egg hunt.

• We could also do an online version for the people who can’t come to the park.

Page 10: Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them Campaign

Partnership Idea #1

• Plant 250 eggs at both parks, but we put special Fantastic Beasts cards in 54 of the eggs, and that number just happens to be the number of beasts in the actual book itself. The other 196 eggs would contain Chocolate Frog Cards--Newt’s card in the Harry Potter novels.

Creative Advertising Idea• Create Fantastic Beast wands that would

hang from subway rail cars and metro buses.

• On one side of the wand, we would place the name of the film, while the other side would have the date.

• Great way to gain attention while being creative at the same time.

• Gets our customers engaged with our brand.

Social Media Idea #1• This would be a simple one for our

Facebook page.• Has the person enter their initials into our

Application, then it creates a personalized logo for them that they can then share with others or post on their wall.

• Would also include the name of the movie and release date with the post.
