What marketing products were produced? Warner Bros made special use of ‘Twitters’ Promoted Sticker features, which launched a series of overlays for the spin of Harry Potter Film, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’.

Merchandise

The costume merchandise of main character Newt Scamander is a smart tactic as the annual holiday ‘Halloween’ is nearing. Many fans of the Fantastic Beast book will either use the costume as their character for Halloween and any conventions that the Harry Potter fandom will hold.

The stickers included, the main character, Newt Scamander’s, jacket, scarf, suitcase and wand. The stickers acted as “visual hashtags”, meaning that photos with the brand’s stickers will be discoverable by anyone who taps the sticker. Brands can then see and engage with those who are using their stickers.

Products such as ‘Snackimals’ are placed in supermarkets would be placed at the eye-level of young children. Retailers know that when shopping children tend to pick up food products they want and parents will willing buy it.

The first glimpse of the Fantastic Beasts Lego dimension pack (a Lego themed video game) that will be released on November the 18th. Now have also developed a story packs and fun packs.

Most Effective Marketing StrategiesThe most effective marketing strategies in my opinion were the twitter stickers and clothing. Items such as t-shirts, hoddies, sweaters become collectable over time and fans of the Harry Potter series (who are also preferably fans of ‘Fantastic Beasts’) collect merchandise out of interest and wear to events like comic-con conventions and special screenings of the film. The twitter stickers were also an effective technique as they acted as visual hashtags which allowed for Warner Bros to keep tabs on users using the stickers, showing the hype that was being generated around the film.

Ideas to ‘steal’ to help market my gangster film

Would borrow the idea of the twitter stickers; audiences mostly view trailers and hear things regarding movies through social media. It would also allow for me to keep tabs on what type of people are using the stickers and their opinion of the upcoming film.
