Extension Installation Installation of some these fan shroud extensions may require drilling 3/32" to 5/64" mounting holes in the fans shroud and, or extension with a small hand drill. The 66-68 extensions mount with 6 evenly spaced tabs along the front edge, in addition to screws and U-nuts. These tabs require that 6 slots be cut into the rear lip of the shroud. The location of these slots is indicated by V-grooves found on the surface of the shroud. A small Dremel tool with a cutting blade works best for cutting these 5/32" wide by 2" long slots. Consult the 66-68 Assembly Instruction Manuals for further information. A little care and patience are another requirement for mounting these 66- 68 fan shroud extensions. 34
