This week will end our 40 Days of Prayer but all are encouraged to continue to pray daily about this study and how it will impact our church and our community.

Middle School SplashThere will be a party at the church building for the Middle School (6th, 7th and 8th grades) on Friday, Aug. 31st at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. After dropping your middle schooler off, parents are invited to a party at the home of Paul and Dana Phelps. Let Jason Terry or Cindy Wilson know if you can come.

Family Care FundFrom time-to-time, our members have unexpected financial needs. As many of you are aware, we have a “Family Care Fund” for these specific needs. If you would like to donate to this fund, checks may be made to Farragut Church of Christ. Please designate “family care fund” on the memo line.

Thank YouJordan Smoak has been teaching a class on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights while home for the summer. We appreciate his enthusiasm for sharing God’s word and wish him well as he continues his studies at Princeton this Fall.

With Deepest SympathyBill Britton passed away Friday afternoon, August 17th at the age of 76. Bill and Eleanor have been members of the Farragut Church of Christ since 1998. Due to Bill’s illness, they moved to Chattanooga last year to be closer to their daughter, Julie. Bill was an avid golfer. He

also loved UT Football and the Boston Red Sox, but his family was his greatest passion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Memorials may be made to The Angel Tree, Inc., 1035 Data Lane, Knoxville, TN 37932. This charity was very important to Bill, who was devoted to providing bicycles for children at Christmas. Eleanor’s address is: 8605 Georgetown Trace Lane

Blood DriveThere will be a replenishment drive for Jordan Smith on Friday, August 31 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm here at the building. All blood types are needed. The Smith’s will be given credit for all donations. No appointment is not needed.
