reporter for child abuse. Remember the ground rules.

Definitions of child abuse

Child abuse is non-accidental injury or mistreatment of a child

Types of abuse include– Emotional abuse or mistreatment– Physical abuse– Sexual abuse– Neglect

As you watch the video, think about these questions:– How did the boy feel about the abuse?– How did his friends react?– What choices did the boy have?– How did his parents react?– What can kids do if their friend is being abused?

Use refusal skills if you can, but if you are in danger, get away and get help.

Child abuse is NEVER the child’s fault. If you are being abused, TELL SOMEONE!
