Amado had invited several “friends of Cuba” to attend the service. These were men and women who have traveled to Cuba and supported the ministry there for the last 25 years. Amado thanked the congregation for their part in getting the gospel to Cuba. He then called Gary and Sandy Curry (Oklahoma); Jim and Margaret Dycus (Illinois); Jim and Lois Vallance, former Master’s Men director; Howard Price’s son, Mike, and family (Georgia); Fleda Snow (Georgia); Carlos Castro (Amado’s translator); and the Tim and Chaca Pierce family (Illinois) to the stage and presented gifts from Cuba to each one thanking them for their love and friendship. Howard Price passed away last year and his son Mike was

two weeks working cross-culturally. E-TEAMs returned to Nashville for debriefing and closing ceremonies on June 30. Teens completing grades 10, 11, or 12 in 2017 may apply to serve on next summer’s E-TEAMs. Applications must be received by September 10.

emotional as Amado presented him with a gift he had made symbolizing the bond between Cuba and Howard. Amado expressed deep appreciation and love for Eugene Waddell, former director of International Missions, and Steve Lytle, former missionary to Panama. In1986, Brother Waddell, with Steve Lytle as his translator, entered Cuba as the first IM representative in 25 years, and the gate opened for many more to follow. After the service, the church furnished a meal for the visitors to give everyone time to visit, and visit we did!
