written by Seth MacFarlane. The Show focuses on a family called the

Griffins, which is a dysfunctional family, the family consists of two

parents Peter and Lois, their children Meg, Chris and Stewie, and also a talking pet dog called

Brian. The original series started in 1999-2002, and the revived series are 2005 to present. The Program was originally broadcasted on the channel Fox and is now currently broadcasted on BBC THREE in the

UK. On average the show is only on for 23 minutes per episode.

RESULTS OF SECONDARY RESEARCHAfter some research on barb and imdb, research shows that a average of1,000,000 people watch Family guy each time it is shown on TV.

After looking at some episodes from series 8 and researched how many views they got, research would show that:

Episode 1: Road to the multiverse got a total of around 1,330,000 views when it was shown on 9th May 2011.

Episode 3: Spies reminiscent had a total of around 1,203,000 views when shown on 16th May 2011.

Episode 5: Hannah Banana had a total of around 1,377,000 views when it was shown on 23rd May 2011.

Episode 7: Jerome is the new black had a total of around 990,000 views when it was shown on 30th May 2011.

Episode 9: Business guy had a total of around 1,069,000 views when it was shown on 6th June 2011

TYPICAL AUDIENCE MEMBER A typical audience member for a show like Family guy would be a lower class or middle class person at the age of between 14 and 21.

This show would mainly appeal and be watched by the younger audience because of the kind of humor which is used in the show.

The show would appeal mainly to the male audience. Cartoons do not really appeal to the female audience.
