    Family Devotions

    a simple order for praying together,

    morning, evening and at bedtime

    Night Prayer

    From Psalm 31Read aloud together, or choose one person to read:

    In you, O LORD, have I taken refuge;let me never be put to shame:

    deliver me in your righteousness.

    Be my strong rock, a castle to keep me safe,

    for you are my crag and my stronghold;

    for the sake of your Name, lead me and guide me.

    Into your hands I commend my spirit,

    for you have redeemed me,

    O LORD, O God of truth.

    A Reading (or, any reading from a daily Bible reading plan)

    O God, You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose

    thoughts are fixed on you!; for in returning and rest we shall be saved;

    in quietness and trust shall be our strength.

    Isaiah 26:3; 30:15

    A song or hymn can be sung here. Individuals can pray for their needs

    and for Gods presence during this night.

    This is a good place for parents to offer a blessing to their children, orshare one reason they are proud of each child today.

    The Lords Prayer (said aloud together)

    Closing Prayer

    Visit this place, O Lord, and drive far from it all snares of the enemy; let

    your holy angels dwell with us to keep us in peace; and let your bless-

    ing be upon us always; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

    The almighty and merciful Lord, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, bless us

    and keep us. Amen.
