Stewardship Reflection – Easter Sunday (Apr. 1)

The Resurrection of the Lord – Alleluia! Christ

is risen and is victorious over sin and death! We

are good stewards of our faith if, like St. Paul,

we share this good news whenever and

wherever we can. (Our Sunday Visitor ibid., page 17)

SPECIAL THA NK YOU I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for your wishes, cards and gifts on the occasion of my birthday. HOLY WEEK/EASTER THANK YOU to Father Jozef

and the many parishioners who contributed to the

prayerful celebration of the holiest week in our church calendar: church cleaners, decorators,

Celebration Choir, lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, altar servers, ushers, RCIA team, oil bearers, foot

washees, ETC. Many hours of behind-the-scenes

preparation go into our special Triddum services. BIRTHDAY THANK YOU FROM SR. KAREN I send most heartfelt gratitude to all who honored by 65th birthday (yipes!) with cars, prayers, good wishes, and gifts. I am continually humbled by your many kindnesses to me. Thank you! CCW 16TH ANNUAL SPRING HAITI FEST will take

THE FET (Feast), especially Baskets or Basket Items

for the Auction, individual and group/corporate sponsors.

REST IN PEACE Please pray for the repose of the soul

of Gerald Gill and that God grants comfort and strength

to his wife Carole and family.

Easter Flower contributors and their intentions can be found in the vestibule on the bulletin board. DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY - APRIL 8th The Parish will commemorate Divine Mercy Sunday,

April 8th; with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Then at 3:00 PM the Chaplet of the

Divine Mercy and Benediction of the Most Blessed

Sacrament will take place. All are welcome to come and

pray.

The Message of the Divine Mercy that Sr. Faustina

received from the Lord was not only directed toward her

personal growth in faith but also toward the good of the

people. When the command of our Lord to paint an

image according to the pattern that Sr. Faustina had seen,

came also a request to have this image venerated, first in

the Sisters’ chapel, and then throughout the world. The

same is true with the revelations of the Chaplet. The

Lord requested that this Chaplet be said not only by Sr.

Faustina, but by others: “Encourage souls to say the

Chaplet that I have given you.” The same is true of the

revelation of the Feast of Mercy. “The Feast of Mercy

emerged from my very depths of tenderness. It is my

desire that it solemnly be celebrated on the First Sunday

after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns

to the fount of My Mercy.”

The Divine Mercy Novena and Chaplet begins on

Good Friday and will end on Saturday, April 7th. A

pamphlet containing these prayers can be found in the

vestibule.

Prayers for Easter Jesus, you have risen,

so there is hope for me.

You are no longer in the

power of sin, of evil!

Love has triumphed,

mercy has been victorious!

God’s mercy always triumphs

because God’s love is stronger

than evil and death itself.

God’s love can transform our lives.

God’s love can do this! --Pope Francis
