Donna Bibber — Keynote Speaker Donna Bibber is Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Isometric Micro Molding, Inc., and is a plastics engineer with 25 years’ experience in micro manufacturing. She has written technical papers on micro and ultra-precision manufacturing-associated topics worldwide, and was voted one of the 100 Notable People in Medical Devices. Donna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer & Plastics Engineering from University of Massachusetts Lowell.

SPOTLIGHT Conference SPEAKERS

Bob Bessemer Bob Bessemer has worked for several downstream plastics extrusion equipment manufacturers over the past 34 years. Bob’s major focus is developing, sizing, and cutting equipment specific to medical and pharma applications, Bob has 6 patents. A major goal has been to better control the variables of the extrusion process and eliminate the so called “Black Art” He has a degree from Penn State University in business administration, but maintains a focus on engineering and development. Bob has written many papers and delivered seminars to the industry to help advance technology.

Dr. James Oberhauser – Keynote SpeakerDr. Oberhauser received a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2001) and completed a postdoc at Caltech, focusing upon polymer rheology and strain-induced polymer crystallization. He led product development of Abbott Vascular’s Absorb™ Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffold (BVS) from 2007-2015 and made significant contributions to the development of this novel therapy for coronary artery disease. In 2013, he received the Innovation Team Award from the Abbott Laboratories Volwiler Society, one of the highest scientific honors bestowed by the company. Dr. Oberhauser holds 24 issued patents and 34 additional pending patent applications and has authored 21 peer-reviewed journal publications.

Steve Maxson - HostSteve Maxson is director of global business development – Extrusion for Graham Engineering, owner of American Kuhne Inc. He is responsible for sales, marketing, product development and M&A for the medical sector. Steve’s background combines disciplines from the fields of medical extrusion technology and medical device manufacturing. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Juergen Gieosow, PhDJuergen started in 1983 as an apprentice at a Packaging company to become a Certified Process Technician. After the 3 year program he stayed with the company and became a shift leader. In 1989 he went back to University for Plastic Engineering in Troisdorf Germany. After finishing this program Juergen joined ARBURG at the Headquarter facility in Germany to become a trainer. After years in the training department at ARBURG he started to travel to the US in 1996 to set up an Application Engineering department. From 2002 to 2015 Juergen was the Regional Manager West Coast for ARBURG Inc. Since June 2015 he is Director of Technology and Engineering for ARBURG USA.

Sean HargettSean Hargett has served as President of Steeger USA for the last 7 years. Steeger USA is the industry leader for medical braiding technology providing innovative solutions allowing our customers’ products to be designed with flexibility, stiffness, kink resistance, improved torque response, and radial/hoop strength. Prior to his current position, Sean served as Sales Executive and Director of Operations for Steeger. He holds a degree in International Finance & Marketing from the University of Alabama.

SPEAKERS continuedRichard RothMr. Roth has served as the Director of Business Development and Marketing for Hitachi Metals Advanced Medical Products since 2014. With more than 25 years of experience, he has

amassed 31 patents. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University.

Anthony Walder Mr. Walder is currently the Global Technology Manager at Lubrizol Corporatoin. Over the course of his carreer he has accumulated more than 25 years of experience developing

thermoplastic polyurethanes for medical and specialty non-medical applications. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1983 and in 1989 he received a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in the area of polymer chemistry.

Marc WaldronMr. Waldron has worked with LaserLinc, Inc. since 2003. Before LaserLinc, he worked with several gauging companies for the previous 25 years. He has a B.S. in Business

Administration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

John Hollingsworth Mr. Hollingsworth was President of Filmtec, Inc. for 19 years and is presently General Manager of the recently formed Filmtec Fabrications, LLC. John has over seen engineering and

sales during his tenure at Filmtec. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Herb WischowMr. Wischow is the Vice President of Sales for Dri-Air Industries. His responsibilities include sales management, project development, dryer sizing, systems and marketing for the

company’s plastics drying and loading systems. Mr. Wischow joined Dri-Air in 1991. Previously he had handled sales for Macon Machinery Sales. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.

Dr. John PerdikouliasDr. Perdikoulias is the President of Compuplast Canada Inc. With more than 28 years of experience in the plastics industry, he has designed numerous screws and dies in all

areas of single - screw extrusion. He holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering and Masters in Engineering Degrees from McMaster University and a Ph.D from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Crew FeigheryMr. Feighery is the Director of Sales and Customer Service for SYNEO, LLC. Crew joined SYNEO in 2010. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Specialty in

Materials from the University of Central Florida.

Dave CzarnickMr. Czarnick is a tooling expert with 25 years of plastics experience and 21 years working in downstreamextrusionforConair.Heholdsfiveextrusion-related patents.

Josh RobertsonMr. Robertson is the Midwest & Western Sales Manager for Compounding Solutions. Prior to his time at Compounding Solutions he worked for Optinova making tight tolerance medical

tubing and prior to that Farlow’s Scientific Glassblowingworking in tight tolerance custom tooling for tipping, balloon blowing and anatomical models. He received his Bachelor of Science from South Dakota State University.

Joe BolingerMr. Bolinger has been with Machine Solution (Vante, Plastic Weld and Steeger USA divisions) as a Sales Exec./ Technical Sales Engineer for over 5 years. Before joining Machine Solutions,

hespentover6yearswithBostonScientificinaNewProduct/Process Development role. In this role, Joe specialized in RF tipping applications and worked directly with all aspects up to validation of multiple processes. Joe has a Bachelor degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Jonathan JurgaitisMr. Jurgaitis is a Sr. Extrusion Engineer with Apollo Medical Extrusion. Before joining Apollo, he worked for International Polymer Engineering and Polytec Plastics.
