GREAT BEGINNING!!
It’s hard to believe we are nearly at the end of the first nine weeks of the 2019-2020
school year. A huge thank you to our entire staff for a smooth beginning!
We want to welcome several staff members to our campus. Ms. Christene Evans - Social Studies; Ms. Nina Price - FACS/Language Arts; Mrs. Jamie Smalley and Mrs. Kelly Krausen - Intensive Aides, and Chris Smith, Instructional Assistant, Morgan Gohn - Site
Manager.
We also want to ask our Borden community to keep Science teacher, James Roberts in their thoughts as he undergoes surgery for what is hoped to be a benign brain tumor. In
his absence, we are very privileged to have retired Science teacher, Brenda Gutmann fill-
ing in.
Please note a few housekeeping reminders for this school year.
* All West Clark Schools dismiss early each Wednesday to allow time for profess-
sional collaboration among our certified staff. The staff is working hard to ensure up to date methods are in place to enhance learning opportunities for all students. Thank you to the parents and staff for making this a smooth
transition.
* West Clark has implemented a policy regarding cafeteria account balances. Please be aware if your child’s lunch balance is over $15.00 negative they could receive an alternate lunch. We certainly appreciate our parent’s efforts to date,
no alternate lunches have been given. Thank you!
FALL BREAK is COMING!!!

Congratulations 2019 Graduate,
Jacob Robinson!
We received notification at the end of the 2019 school year, Jacob
qualified for Academic All-State in baseball. This award is based on
a composite score of a student’s GPA and ACT/SAT scores. The
criteria for qualification is pretty tough, but he passed with flying
colors per Coach Stotts. Jacob is currently attending the University
of Louisville where he plans to major in engineering!
