Barry NelsonPresident & CEO

Pat MorenoBoard Chair

Over the last year, Travis Credit Union has been laying the groundwork for our major system upgrade that will take place from Oct. 31 through Monday, Nov. 2, 2015. This upgrade is an integrated process of enhancements and advancements designed to improve the credit union’s ability to meet your needs. It requires that we connect all of our operations to a new data-processing system.

We have been on our current data-processing system for more than 30 years. Technology has changed a lot in that time so we are excited about moving to a new system that will give our staff an opportunity to learn new, more effective ways to serve you. For example, this new system will allow you to access all of your accounts online more efficiently. After the upgrade, when you log in to Online or Mobile Banking, you will be able to view all the accounts on which you are a primary or joint member without logging into each of them separately.

We recognize that change can be difficult at first so our employees have spent the last several months training so that they’ll be prepared to help you adapt to the new system. Our goal is to make this as smooth and seamless of a transition as possible.

By now you should have received detailed information about the upgrade and how it will affect you during our System Upgrade weekend. This issue of Smart Money Matters is devoted to details about our weekend closures and upgrade. Pat and I encourage you to read up on the changes.

We understand that switching to a new computer system may cause you some inconvenience. We sincerely apologize for the need to close our branches, online channels and Call Center, Saturday, Oct. 31 through Monday, Nov. 2. However, even though our branches will be closed and our online and mobile banking will not be available, rest assured your payroll deposits, loan payments, allocations, credit card transactions, ATM transactions and scheduled bill payments will process as usual during this transition.

We know this is a huge undertaking. The sole purpose of upgrading our operating system is to better serve you for the next 30 years and beyond. We value your membership and appreciate your patience and understanding as we embark on this project on your behalf.

Pat and I wish you a very happy holiday season. We are truly excited about what 2016 brings for Travis Credit Union and its members!

Did you receive your System Upgrade Guide? We recently mailed all of our members a guide

that explains the changes taking place with our

Adding ValueThrough Our System Upgrade

We apologize for the inconvenienceWe know the upgrade of our computer system, which involves

the closing of our branches on Oct. 31 and Nov. 2, 2015, may

cause you some inconvenience. We apologize and have mailed

you a System Upgrade guide to provide you with information to

help explain these changes.

ATM, debit and credit cardsYou will be able to use your existing cards without interruption

during this transitional period. You may also use another credit

union’s ATM that is part of the CO-OP ATM Network without

incurring a transaction fee.

Behind the scenes payroll and payment processingEven though the branches will be closed and online and

mobile banking will not be available, your payroll deposits, loan

payments, allocations and bill payments will process as usual.

Expect some things to look differentJust as with upgrades to your favorite Internet browser or

computer operating system, some things will look different.

Most of the changes will be behind the scenes and will only

affect credit union employees. However, members will notice

slight changes in their account structures and that their

statements have a new look.

Setting up unique User IDs and passwordsUnder the new system, you will be able to setup unique User IDs

and passwords for each person accessing an account online. For

example, today you may be sharing your User ID and password

with your spouse. After the upgrade, each of you can set up

unique IDs, passwords and security questions.

Benefits of the System Upgrade

We worked with members to design easier-to-read

account statements

Access your account information, 24 hours a day,

7 days a week

Employees can more efficiently help you by

seeing all of your account information in one place.

When you open a new account, the process will be more efficient

Account Numbers

Q: Will my account number change?A: Members who have only one primary account will retain the same account number. It will now be called

their member number.

Q: What if I have multiple accounts?A: If you have multiple primary accounts then the account with the lowest number is now your member number.

All of your account relationships will be consolidated under this lowest member number as shown in the

example below.

Q: Are account suffixes still used?A: Account suffixes as you have known them will be converted into account numbers. Each account will have

a unique nine-digit number. For many, your new account number will look familiar as it is a variation of your

current one.

Checks

Q: Do I have to order new checks?A: There is no need to order new checks. Your existing checks will continue to work for all of your deposit and

loan accounts.

Direct Deposit

Q: Will my direct deposit or automatic payments continue to post as they did on the old system?A: Yes. There is no need to make any changes to your direct deposits or automatic payments. They will continue

occurring as they did prior to the upgrade.

Online Banking

Q: How will I log into my Online and Mobile Banking accounts after the upgrade?A: Members who have only one primary membership account will log in with their existing User ID

and password.

Q: I have multiple accounts; will I still log in separately?A: No. With the upgrade, you will log into Online and Mobile Banking with your existing User ID and password

and see all of your accounts in one place. If you have multiple accounts and have passwords for each, you

must log into the one with the lowest account number, which will be your new member number.

If you have never logged into your lowest member account number, you’ll be automatically enrolled and

your temporary User ID and password after the upgrade will be:

v User ID: (Your new member number)

v Password: (Your zip code and the last four digits of your social security number)

The first time you log into Online Banking, you’ll be prompted to change your password and set up a new

security image. After this, you will be able to access Mobile Banking too.

Bill Pay

Q: Will Bill Pay change?

A: No. Bill Pay will continue to be the same as before the upgrade.

Q: Do I need to set up my payments and payees again?A: No. Your current payees, biller information and history will be viewable in Bill Pay as it is today, as long as

you only have only one primary membership account.

If you currently have Bill Pay on multiple accounts and are primary on those accounts, all of your billers will

be combined into Bill Pay on your lowest member number. You could potentially see duplicate billers with

different account numbers. For example, if you have two homes and PG&E is the biller for both houses, you

could see two PG&E bills with separate account numbers for the different properties. You can nickname

these billers by going to the “Manage My Bills” tab, selecting the bill you would like to nickname and clicking

“Change Bill Info”.

Electronic Payment Processing

Q: Will my electronic payments process as they did on the old system?A: Yes. Your electronic payments and transfers and those scheduled through automatic deduction or bill

payment will process as usual.
