KUCI broadcasts in 200 stereo watt s, 24 hours a day, from the UC Irvine Campus to the UC Irvine community, the City of Irvine, and the surrounding cities and towns.

Since 1969, when the station was a broom closet in the Physical Sciences Building, KUCI has been commited to you, our listeners, by promoting the best in underground and local artists and a voice in the vital public interest. We can help promote non-profi t events with on-air public service announcements, and we’re always willing to lend a hand to talented musicians--especially those based in Southern California.

Our dedicated volunteers--UC Irvine students, staff , and community members--believe in the power of communication, and of the sharing of ideas that drives us to be the best public station in Orange County, and for you because.... YOU ARE KUCI!
