• Is required of every supervisor• It is not optional• There are Expectations that include:
• Do all evaluation in a timely manner• Engage students in the process• Use the opportunity for building relationships, learning,
and improving work• Is not a punitive tool…think development
Labor Evaluations
Important Evaluation Tips• Supervisors should check to ensure their name has been
inserted into the Labor Status forms correctly• If students stay in the position but work with a different
supervisor the next term, notification of that supervisor change should be given to Student Payroll
• Use the Supervisor Correction Form each term to do this.• Communicate any adjustments needed as soon as possible
to David Slinker, Training and Assessment Specialist and Andrea Davis, Student Payments Coordinator
• Incorrect Supervisor• Incorrect position or WLS level
• Do the evaluation early enough to ensure time to discuss the results with students

70-79 ** Meets Expectations
60-69 Needs Improvement
59-below Unsatisfactory Performance** Meets Expectations should be considered doing a good job. The score range (70-79) rates performance at expected levels with evaluation scale examples indicating a suggested point range for meeting those expectations. Exceeding Expectations and Exceptional Performance ratings should be reserved for students who go beyond basic expectations for the position. Supervisors should share explanations in the comments box when rating above/below the suggested range for meeting expectations.
