Central Pennsylvania’s First Wedding-Reality TV Show Begins Season 4!

Central Pennsylvania’s first reality TV show, Emmy nominated Dream Weddings, is airing its fourth season of spectacular weddings. What began as a dream for host Martine Cajas more than five years ago has turned into a source of dreams for brides all over Central Pennsylvania. This season, we will give away our second Dream Wedding!

Viewers will welcome the return of some favorite elements in the show: behind the scenes produc-tion meetings, design upgrades and of course…bloopers. Martine is getting so comfortable on camera that the production team sometimes fear that he’s going to become a one-take wonder….then his Spanglish takes over and the whole pro-duction team is cracking up!

Dream Weddings continues to evolve and will unveil some new surprises this season…but you’ll have to tune in to see for yourself! Check WGAL’s listings for exact times and dates.

One thing that won’t change is our belief in the professionals who live and work in South Central Pennsylvania. Their work and creativity is what drives the premise of the show.

Aptly located at the intersection of King and Queen Streets on historic Penn Square in our beloved City of Lancaster, our landmark

hotel is the region’s most glorious setting for your wedding. Here you will find it all, from the grandest Beaux Arts architectural features

to the smallest yet most crucial details: a spectacular ballroom; a chef committed to culinary excellence; a highly trained staff to serve

optional dates) before you consult vendors. To help you manage your schedule and stay on track, we're introducing a new feature in the magazine: A Bride's Timeline and Checklist. Consult them often to verify that your to-do list is being managed in a timely manner.

Fall brides also have another im-portant calendar to consult: the football schedule. With so many people having season tickets for Penn State, you definitely don't want to have your wedding competing with a home game (maybe that explains why Friday evening weddings are growing in popularity!) Even if the game is on the road, don't be sur-prised if your guests disappear to get updates on the score. Football just might provide you with the perfect theme for the latest reception trend: a lounge. Include a wide-screen TV and football fans will think yours is the best wedding ever! See you in your dreams!

Summer is history. Through at-tending your fair share of weddings, you've garnered lots of ideas for your own upcoming wedding. Fall is a beautiful time to get married. In fact, you might say it's the new June.South Central Pennsylvania is gor-geous this time of year. The season really lends itself to the latest trend: barn weddings. I know what you're thinking. A barn! If that's your re-action, you probably have not seen the barn venues that are popping up all over the region. Yes, they are rustic, but on the other hand many seamlessly lend themselves to glam-our and elegance. Here's where vendors such as lighting specialists, linen suppliers and floral designers become your new BFFs. They can transform such a space into anything you envision.

As far as color goes, fall lends it-self to jewel tones. This year, tones such as royal blue, deep purples and sangria are setting the tone in fash-ion. Gold embellishments are also very hot. Such trends will instantly be translated into bridal fashions.

In fact, it's already happening. Gold - which ranges in tone from soft cham-pagne to a burnished bronze - is the new color for bridal gowns. I like to think of it as the new black. This elegant color is the perfect choice for the months that lead up to the holidays. And, it lends itself to the looks that are shaping this season's retro-themed weddings: old Holly-wood glamour for the ladies (think red lips and smoky eyes) and James Bond for the men (grooms are of-ten the forgotten piece of the fash-ion puzzle). If you have your heart set on a white dress, gold can be used as an accessory (jewelry to shoes). The fashions seen in this issue ver-ify that trend. And, you don't need to travel to Philly, New York or D.C. to see this latest color trend. All you need to do is venture to York, where John and Beth Smith, owners of Renaissance Bridal, are very much on trend. (In fact, brides from the aforementioned cities make their way to York for the latest in bridal fash-ions.) Gold is also impacting other aspects of a wedding. For example, at the House of Clarendon, we've been receiving an increasing number of requests for gold (or gold-embel-lished) cakes. Gold also lends itself to everything from linens to candles/votives and china/ glassware. And, as you will see this season, mixing met-als is very much in style.

If you recently became engaged and are contemplating a Fall 2015 wedding, now is the time to explore your options. Fall dates book quick-ly. It's imperative to establish a date (ideally you should have one of two

COL-OR SCHEME: Charcoal grey, pale yel-low and white. FLOWER CHOICES: The bride’s absolute favorite flowers: yellow roses! They also included white peonies and hydrangeas. Hometowns: Abbie is from Aspers; Lucas is from Easton. OCCUPATIONS: They both work as attorneys in Harrisburg. HOW THEY MET: They met during law school. FIRST DATE: A restaurant in downtown Harrisburg. HOW/WHERE HE PROPOSED: Lucas proposed in his apartment living room. Abbie spent the first few minutes trying to convince Lucas he could find someone better, but after she looked into his face and saw it was real she said yes! WEDDING STYLE / THEME: They wanted the theme to be all about family, friends, and their journeys. The theme's focus was on warmth, comfort, love, and relaxation. The couple wanted everything to feel authen-tic and include personal details in every ele-ment. COLOR SCHEME: Cream, gray, purple and gold. FLOWER CHOICES: The floral theme was quirky and unique. Flo-ral choices included Abbie's favorites: ra-

nunculus as the focal point, with succulents and peonies. CAKE DESCRIPTION: The bride and groom’s favorite: carrot cake with icing only between the layers for a more rustic feel. They also included a dessert table featuring pumpkin, apple, pecan and lem-on-meringue pies (pies are a huge tradion for Abbie's family). To complete their dessert extravaganza, they served a chocolate cake to ensure all guests found something sweet to enjoy. SONG/MUSIC FOR FIRST-DANCE: One Republic’s Burning Bridges (acoustic).
