HAPPENINGS

Happenings in Children’s & Family Ministry ...

What is it about? As Christian parents recognize their children are a gift from God, they desire to raise them in a way that pleases God. The Parent Child Dedication is an opportunity for parents to actively dedicate themselves before God to provide all that is necessary for the growth of their child physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually. As a church family, we petition together as congregation and pastors to support these families through prayer, discipleship, and providing loving community.

Why do we bless children? A blessing is an opportunity for parents, leaders, and people of influence in a child’s

life to speak truth over them, for the purpose of declaring God’s protection, joy,

and wisdom. We believe there is power in the words we speak, and that declaring

God’s truth and promises into a child’s life will build and affirm their faith. The idea

of blessing is to transition the child from being blessed, to being a blessing to

others.
