will be new changes God will require in each of us. We will
be met by what Henry Blackaby calls a "crisis of belief" in his
work Experiencing God. In these encounters, we'll receive
new invitations from God to follow Him into uncharted
territories. Allowing the Holy Spirit to prepare our hearts for
these new God-encounters is our next important step.
When couples marry in Russia, they take
their wedding parties to a river's edge. There, the couple poses
for a photo. As a sign of the newlyweds' love and
commitment, they secure a padlock on the railing. Then, they
throw the key into the river gorge signifying to all their
devotion. What a great symbol of unending love and
commitment.
For all of us who have committed our lives to
being the bride of Christ, God calls us to throw away the key-
to trust Him completely. How can we, the church, show the
world our commitment to Christ? When it comes to embracing
God's invitations and putting our love into action, will we say,
"I do"? Will we make ourselves ready Revelation 19:7 NIV?
Christ in Every Heart, Pastor Greg

Happy 90th to Bill Masters We want to wish Bill Masters a proper Happy Birthday for his
90th! There will be a celebration at his condo's Clubhouse this
Sunday, May 21 from 2:00 - 3:30 pm. Drop by and wish him
a happy birthday. This is at Cottages at Pryse Farm
Clubhouse, off McFee Road in Farragut (764 Pryse Farm
Blvd, Farragut, TN 37934). No gifts please, just hugs and
kisses. Please RSVP to Tanda Solomon at [email protected]
or (865) 675-0395.
Contributions through the second week of May are on budget.
Expenses for May will be a little over budget because of the
cost for updating the hot water system ($1,500) to provide hot
water to the restrooms quickly. Thanks to John Morton the hot
water problem in the Kitchen was solved during May. Many
thanks to Tony Rose for his help and his expertise! Ladies
your persistent calling for hot water is coming to fulfillment.

Featured Mission: West Knox FISH
Pantry Faith Fellowship works with 2 other churches locally for the
West Knox FISH (Food in Service to Humanity) Pantry
ministry to deliver groceries to those in need, mostly in the
inner city areas in East, South, North, and downtown
Knoxville. The groceries are stored in the basement of the
Church of the Savior, located on North Weisgarber Rd. Duties include taking phone requests, logging requests,
mapping routes, stocking the pantry, and delivering (delivery
teams are typically husband and wife, but not limited to
that). Faith Fellowship has up to four people involved in
answering phones, mapping, and logging, and eight involved
in delivery. We stock the pantry each February and typically
have about 20 participants. Generally we make a total of 40-
50 deliveries (total for the 3 churches) each month. We do
this on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Delivery teams
begin begin about 10:45 or 11:00 am. We have been involved
in this ministry since 2010. In addition to providing labor,
FFCPC donates cash to help pay for stocking the pantry in
February of each year. For more information, please click on
FISH. This will take you to our website. If you are interested
in becoming part of this wonderful ministry, please contact

Women's Bible Study The Women are studying a series entitled, Gospel of Mark,
The Jesus We're Aching For. God's heart is moved by your
cries for help and shouts for joy. In Lisa Harper's 7-session
Bible Study, The Gospel of Mark: The Jesus We're Aching
For, you'll follow Jesus through His days of early ministry all
the way to the cross. It's there we discover what it means to
be the recipients of His excessive compassion and the very
reason for His all-consuming passion. If you are interested in attending this Bible Study, please
contact Mary Nell Yarbro at (865) 679-9246.

Church-Wide Garage Sale
Oct 6-7 It's time for Spring cleaning! Our CPWM is sponsoring
another Garage Sale this fall. So we are now accepting your
unwanted items to take advantage of your Spring cleaning. If
you want to start bringing items in, you can put them in the
garage or in the Fellowship House. Someone is in the office
Monday - Thursday 9-Noon. Or you can arrange to meet
someone at an alternate time to unlock the door.
The residents of Kindred Nursing Home that FFCPC have
been helping are extremely pleased with their new clothing
and other items including fresh haircuts. We have received a
new list from them for additional items they would like to
have. They are in need of BINGO prizes. For example, they
could use devotion books, inexpensive jewelry, candy, treats,
books, etc. In addition, anything for the garden in the
courtyard is great. A box is now located in the Narthex for
the collection of these items.

Kroger Community

The Kroger Community Rewards

the CPWM. It is an easy way to
support our church and the
CPWM. Simply enroll your Kroger

One misconception is that if you sign
up for the Community Rewards
Program, you won't get your fuel
points. This is NOT true! You will be
able to do both!
The Class starts at 8:45. The Bible 101 Sunday School Class
is a small group that uses the Bible exclusively for teaching
material. The teachers rotate as the class moves from book to
book in both the Old and New Testaments, verse by verse with
plenty of discussion
Darryl Downing is the current teacher.
Retired old Fellows (ROFs)
(Mulch-O Mulch-O Men)
The ROFs will work this Thursday, May 18. The
Mulching is complete!! Thanks to Mulch-O, Mulch-O Men
(ROFs) for picking up and spreading the mulch. This saved
the Church about $1,100. This week we will be working on
the Second Harvest Food Give Away stuff. Additionally, we
will pick up a portable storage unit that Darryl and a friend in
Tellico Village have built for the choir.
