FAIRY TALES MOTIVATE READING
Once upon a time, there was a huge house
in a very far away land. The house was very
old and nobody lived there. There were just
a lot of cobwebs and there were sometimes
two or three clothes moths. The house was
in the mountain near a bewitched and
dangerous forest .
Very very far away there was a very pretty princess that was called Penelope. She was really beautiful and had a gold-colored hair like the sun. One day, a wicked witch that was called Betty who lived hidden in the forest locked the princess in a house on a mountain, because the witch was jealous from her beauty.
Betty was very ugly. She had spots, green skin and had only two teeth. She was a very sad witch. That’s why, she hated Penelope. But Betty had a friend…. her cat.
The cat was called “boots” and it was nice, although it was a horrible witch’s pet. Its best friend was called “buttons”, it was Penelope’s cat.
One day “boots” saw the princess at home. She cried and cried; “boots” got very sad and also cried. So it decided to take action!
The cat prepared Betty’s favorite drink– a cup of tea. But this time, “boots” sang a magic song while it was making the tea.
As always, Betty drank the tea and then she went to bed.
In the morning, Betty woke up and….oh! surprise! She had curly silky hair. She was as beautiful as a queen. She had all her teeth and didn’t have spots nor green skin. She looked very pretty.
With the magic song of “boots”, Betty became really beautiful. She went to Penelope’s cell and said:“Forgive me Penelope. I was very jealous. I’m so sorry”.“Don’t worry”, Penelope said. “I understand”.Then Betty and Penelope became the best friends ever and lived happily ever after. “boots” was also very happy!s
