SUPERHERO CAMP (ART & CRAFTS, STAGING, STORYTELLING)

week at camp! Join a squad of heroes and

heroines to conquer the evil villain.

Learn super hero moves, make

cool gadgets to help you on your

and save the camp!

COLOR MY WORLD (ARTS & CRAFTS)

Are you ready for a completely

magical week all about

unicorns? We will draw and

paint our own unicorns, make

unicorn headbands, and make

unicorn inspired slime! Learn the

pencils as you explore comic book art. Learn

drawing techniques, character creation,

storytelling skills, and the basics of character

DANCE CAMP (BALLET, TAP, HIP-HOP)

Can you feel the beat, the rhythm,

and excitement of dance? Explore

different styles of dance, from ballet and tap

to contemporary and hip-hop. Learn musical

numbers, play dancing games, and create

props and costume pieces for your dance

performance.

CRAZY ART CAMP (ARTS & CRAFTS) Monday, July 22

Think outside of the box! We will use

familiar art mediums in a crazy new

way. Why paint with a paint brush

when you can paint with your feet?

What happens when we make paint

REGISTRATION DEADLINES: Online registration closes one week prior to the camp start date or when full.

SPACE AND ATTENDANCE: Space is limited so register online early to secure your space. All campers must

have already completed Kindergarten, entering at least 1st grade. Attendance capacity is based on the needs of

the camp program itself and cannot be adjusted due to late registration, buddy expectations, etc. Registrants

must notify Songbirds of all cancellations. Requests to make changes from one camp session to another must be

sent to SongbirdsOviedo@gmail.com least four weeks prior to the start of the originally scheduled camp session.

One change request per order will be accepted free of charge, and additional changes will incur a $20

administrative fee or may require the purchaser to cancel the order and begin the registration process again for

the new camp session.

HOURS AND AGES: All camps are from 9am-4pm. Extended hours for drop off (8-8:45am) and pick up (4-6pm)

are available for an additional fee.

DRESS CODE: Children should dress appropriately for the activities scheduled. We recommend shorts and a light

weight shirt or top, and some type of athletic shoe or sneaker in order to participate in recreational or athletic

activities. Sandals, flip-flops, rubber “crocs”-style shoes, and other open-toed shoes are not recommended. *We

utilize Acrylic paints that do not come out of clothing. Please send children in clothing they can get paint on.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Please put the child’s name on all articles of clothing, snack bags, bags, etc. Children

should not bring toys, mobile phones, electronic devices, jewelry, money, or any possession of value with them to

any of the programs. Children will be responsible for their belongings.

LUNCH/SNACKS: Children must bring a lunch, two snacks, and a drink in a non-glass container each day. Snacks

should be in a paper, plastic, or reusable bag clearly labeled with the child’s name. Please do not send gum,

candy, or anything high in sugar. Children are not permitted to “trade” their lunches or snacks with each other. A

microwave is available for use.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT: A $50 NON REFUNDABLE deposit is required for each camp you wish to attend.

Payment is due in full four weeks prior to the camp start date. If you have a credit card on file, payment will be

processed four weeks prior to the camp’s start date. If paying by check or cash and full payment is not received

four weeks prior to your camper's start date, your slot will be forfeited and opened up to other campers. Your

deposit will not be refunded.

REFUNDS: Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to SongbirdsOviedo@gmail.com at least four

weeks in advance of the camp start date for consideration (include the subject heading: Camp Refund). Refunds

for cancellations occurring less than four weeks in advance are only considered in cases of emergency and

handled on a case-by-case basis. These requests must be submitted within seven days of the camp start date.

Refunds are NOT issued for early departures from camp, campers considered “no shows” (those who do not

attend and did not give advance notification of cancellation), for any illness, or for days missed during a camp

session. Campers who show signs of being visibly ill will be sent home for the day without refund.

Behavior Policy: The Songbirds staff will create a fun and safe environment for participants in the program. Praise and positive

reinforcement are used as effective methods of behavior management. Children who do not respond to these

methods or who are destructive to others or to property will be treated in a professional, positive, and timely

manner to correct the behavior. Parent/Guardians will be informed of any behavioral issues.

NOTE: Immediate dismissal from the program can occur at any time given severe circumstances. Refunds for

missed days due to a discipline dismissal will not be granted.
