The Concept for Future Development and Land Classification System
Suburban Center Employment centers located along
major arterials Include mixed-use cores
Suburban Neighborhoods Contain the county’s established
residential neighborhoods Considered to be stable areas of little or
no change Broad mix of allowable residential
densities and styles, parks and open space
Can include supporting neighborhood-serving commercial services, public facilities, and institutional uses if compatible
Low Density Residential Areas Ensure the preservation of
environmental resources by limiting development primarily to low density, large lot residential and open space uses
These are stable areas of little or no change
