Introducing Sid RachlinECU Professor of Mathematics EducationFor the last 42 years, I’ve taught mathematics at
all but four grade levels from Kindergarten through Graduate School.
Before coming to NC, I was on the faculty at the University of Hawaii and the University of Calgary
I’ve been fortunate to secure funding to support K-12 teachers’ professional development through federal, state and private grants every year since 1978.
I am pleased that this year’s funding will help you earn your EMAoL.
Meet the Rachlins
First class meeting…I apologize that I am not able to meet with you during
your first face to face meeting on Saturday. I will be attending and presenting research at the International Symposium on Elementary Mathematics Teaching in Prague. I will plan to catch up with you upon my return…Shelby
Ana and Wendy also send their regrets. They are working on another professional development project in Western Carolina on Saturday .
During your face-to-face meeting on August 27th, you will be working with Sid and Dawne.
Before Saturday, please work through the activities in this module and come prepared to discuss your progress.
