Faculty and Staff Retreat (continued)

Faculty members learned how the spirit of vol-

unteerism and service to the community can be

taught as part of a curriculum and all of our lives

enriched in the process.

The highlight of the day was the “Stress Man-

agement” workshop conducted by Mrs. Angel

Jowers and Mrs. Patricia Pratt from the University

of South Alabama. With their interactive presen-

tation, they were just what we needed to conclude

our Retreat, according to the Retreat Satisfaction

Survey.

Another highlight and addition to this

year’s retreat was the award recognition of one

faculty member and one staff employee for out-

standing work and service. The winner of this

year’s award for faculty was Mrs. Vicky Ohlson.

Dr. Mimi Johnson was chosen as the winner of the

award for staff. Other nominees for the awards

were Geneva Patterson, Marilyn Whiting and

Cecile Mathews-Meacham.

TORY, AND OTHER INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITIES The Joseph Dickerson Education Center provides six state-
