Major Milestones: Accept applications online starting September 10, 2015 Conduct interviews from January to March, 2016 Obtain approvals from BOG in May, 2016 Send offer letters by the end of May, 2016 2 Areas of Scientific & Technology Emphasis Or searches in broader areas, for example: 1 post in biology 1 post in chemistry or 1 post in mathematics 4 posts in computer science 3 posts in marine science 1 post in neuroscience 3 posts in physics [5 positions in positions in 2016 =13 total] 3 Search Committee Co-Chairs: Prof. Fried, Prof. Satoh Members: Prof. Chakraborty, Prof. Doya, Prof. De Schutter, and Prof. Nic Chormaic Questions: Should individual advertisements prepared? Should the Search Committee conduct Skype interviews to short-list candidates? Faculty involvement: who will screen the applications in each area? Actions: Create a strategy to effectively interview 4 candidates each week in different scientific area.
