We have good teachers, and students that are engaged in the classroom
While we are teaching it isn’t always what we need to be teaching.
We must focus on the 4 question What do students need to know? How do we know we they have learned it? What do we do when they haven’t? What do we do when they have?

Classrooms with rigorous instruction where students understand expectations through
posted learning objectives tied to standards with real-world connections
Develop a balanced assessment system that drives instruction

Empower those who have mastered the content to make decisions that best benefit students and learning.
Every content area divided into P.L.C.s (I.E. Algebra 1, Political Science, Chemistry)
Weekly P.L.C.’s plan, look at data, develop learning targets and common assessments. (common plan in 2010-2011)
