I. Their Status (vv. 38-39)

A. Both were secret disciples of Jesus (vv. 38-

39)B. Both were senior

citizens. They were in the twilight of their years

(vv.38-40)

II. Their Strength (vv. 38-40)A. Both were strategically

prepared according to their plan (vv. 38-39)

B. The crisis of crucifixion gave them the courage to where the

stand. (John 10: 28-34)C. They made a critical decision

even there was no hope to carry the dead body of Jesus. (v. 40)

III. Their Success (vv. 38-40)A. Faith and action are done in public when things are at their worst (v. 41)

Heb. 11:1, 6-9B. The secret disciples were the only ones to show up while others were in

hiding. (Matt. 26: 56-59)C. The secret disciples were a part of God’s perfect plan to awaken the cowardliness of

the original disciples of Jesus Christ.

D. God is well pleased in what they have done in facing the Storms of life.
