OSPI Updates

• “Quality not Quantity” – Artifacts and Evidence

• Observation purpose shift from assessing the lesson to gathering evidence

• Legislature – PD for teachers?

• Student Growth – Build assessment literacy – what does good classroom

based assessment look like?

– Keep it as close to the classroom as possible, experiment with school, district and state data

– Students need to be involved!!!!

Mid Year Checks

• 3 groups – elementary, middle, high

• Who? Do you feel the feedback is representative of all of your TPEPers? Are we missing any voices?

• Mid-Year Process? (conversation, self-assessment with administrator assessment, forms, etc...)

• Pilot? (PD, observations, self-assessment, etc…)

• Other?

• Talk about the feedback – share out and look for common themes
