Primera day spa is getting a new look that looks very old. Faux painter Ruth Garry, one of Orlando’s leading Faux painters, has transformed the walls of the spa to an old Venetian look and textured feel. Ruth has been a long time patient of Dr. Gross due to an accident in 2002. She sustained severe facial lacerations after falling through a plate glass window and required extensive reconstructive surgery by Dr. Gross. “I thought I would be disfigured for life, but Dr. Gross saved my face,” says Ruth “He is a wonderful surgeon who cares a lot about his patients.” Ruth benefited from Dr. Gross’ passion as a plastic surgeon, his la-ser experience, and his commitment to help others. Primera Day Spa similarly benefited from Ruth’s work as a painter and passionate artist.

We want to introduce the newest additions to our staff, Christina Moreno, Registered Nurse and Miguel Machuca, Certified Surgical Technician. They joined our Team at Primera Surgery Center and were both hand picked by Dr. Gross for their experience, profession-alism, and warmth. Christina has an extensive background in surgical nursing, pre-op assessment, and recovery room care. She is a mother of two and joins us from Florida Surgery Center and Central Florida Regional Hospital.

Miguel has over 20 years of experience as a CST, he was trained at Metropolitan Hospital in New York, New York, and Orlando Re-gional Medical Center in Orlando. He has assisted Dr. Gross for many years at the Florida Surgery Center. Miguel also has prior ex-perience as a paramedic, speaks fluent Spanish and is very helpful with any translation that our patients need.

Photo before and after books are a staple in plastic surgery. They are very helpful for new pa-tients who are considering cosmetic surgery and wish to view photos of previous results to get an idea of the surgeons skill. Dr. Gross has a large volume of before and after photos to help guide prospective patients but many of these were in plain photo books until Amy (aka “scrappy doo”) incorporated her hobby as a scrap booker with Dr. Gross’ photos. “Amy’s work on our before and after books transformed them into something special”, says Dr. Gross. “They tell a story about each patients experience”.
