BULB REPLACEMENT

The following hoods use a MR-11, 20 watt, 12 volt, halogen bulb, with a glass lens cover: Matrix, Orizzonte, Stilo, Stilo

Isola, Diamante, Diamante Isola, Axia Isola, Synthesis, Perla, Dama, Dama Isola, Magnum, Inca HC SS, and Jewel.

The Pellicano uses MR-16, 20 watt, 12 volt halogen bulbs with a glass lens cover. The Tratto, Tratto Isola, Tender and Velvet

use a type G4 bi-pin, 20 watt, 12 volt halogen bulb. The Inca Pro 30 uses a 45 watt PAR 16 halogen bulb. The Inca Smart

uses a 40 watt, candelabra base type (B), blunt tip, incandescent bulb. The Agio and Cristal HC use Fluorescent 18 inch

15 watt, T8 bulbs. See the Agio and Cristal HC Installation instructions for bulb replacement. The bulbs for the Inca Smart,

Cristal HC, and Agio are not available for purchase from Faber. All other bulbs are available for purchase.

PROPER USE OF YOUR RANGE

Turn on the hood for a few minutes before you start to cook in order to create an airflow that carries odors and steam into

the range hood. Low speeds are sufficient when cooking pasta and sauces, which don’t have strong odor or vapors. Higher

speeds are used for cooking that emits strong odors and steam, like when frying or grilling or when several burners are

being used at the same time. Once you are finished cooking, leave the hood on for 5-10 minutes. This will ensure that all

the steam, grease, odors and smoke have been eliminated from the kitchen and your home.

CLEANING YOUR RANGE HOOD

Painted Hoods (non-stainless steel hoods) : Black and white hoods can be cleaned using a damp sponge or cloth and hot

soapy water. Windex® can also be used. Stainless Steel Hoods : You can use any retail stainless steel cleaner to clean

and polish your stainless range hood. Examples are: Stainless Steel Magic®, Zep®, Bar Keepers Friend ®, WD-40®,

Goo-Gone Orange Spray®, Cerama Bryte Stainless Cleaner®. Do not use Windex® or other ammonia based cleaners on

stainless steel. Never use chlorine bleach, or any product that contains bleach on a stainless surface,

as the hood could be permanently discolored. Never use abrasive cleaners or scrub pads, or alcohol-based cleaners.

When wiping or polishing the hood, always wipe with the grain of the stainless steel. A soft cloth and hot soapy water can

also be used for cleaning the stainless steel hoods. Microfiber cloths are excellent for removing fingerprints

and smudges in between cleanings.

CLEANING GREASE FILTERS

Aluminum mesh Grease filters or Baffle style grease filters can be washed in the dishwasher.

They should be cleaned at least once a month, and more frequently depending on usage.

If there is heavy grease build up on the filters, then place the filters in a pan of hot soapy water and soak the filters.

CHARCOAL FILTERS

You should change the charcoal filters approximately every six months. Charcoal filters cannot be cleaned;

the odor absorption power of the charcoal inside the filter declines over time and needs to be replaced eventually.
