letter plates and knockers had to come in

different colours - we launched the industrys

first set of perfectly matching hardware. We

didnt accept that chrome products had to be

less durable - we invented Hardex Electro

finishes, which can withstand up to 1,000 hours

of salt spray testing.

Coventry. With over 70 years of combined

industrial design experience, our team creates

beautiful products that also meet the highest

standards of engineering quality, ease of

installation, functionality and durability.

standards, often beyond those demanded by

the industry, go through to production.

Testing

Built to lastFab&Fix products are manufactured to

requirements more frequently associated with

cars and aeroplanes than door and window

hardware.

Our dedicated factory in China works to

internationally recognised quality standards.

Every run of products is quality checked

during production, before shipping and again

on arrival at our UK distribution centre - thats

why we confidently stamp every box with the

Fab&Fix mark of quality.

Manufacturing

Quality takes time5 years in development, Hardex Electro finishes

are among the most resilient and attractive in

the world today.

Time is everything in our unique process, it takes

over 24 hours to plate a single handle.

Meticulous preparation of the surface material is

followed by a complex series of chemical baths,

each submersion calculated to the second.

Only then is the product ready for a Hardex

Electro plate to be applied before curing in

extreme temperatures.

Its a lot of effort, but we hope youll agree its

worth it.
