Animals for Adoption – Dogs available for adoption can be viewed at various times throughout the day.

CENTAUR – Will be on hand with pet housing and furniture created from recycled materials. These items will be available for purchase. Funds raised will support the development of pet housing at the Radford Women’s Center. VMIA patio

Hands on demonstrations will include the use of microscopes to view exciting samples along with interactive models and an at home DNA extraction method. We have hands-on models and even our own version of an operation game! Skills Lab

Bite-sized Pathology – Come sample veterinary pathology-themed desserts and learn about clinical and anatomic pathology. DEMONSTRATIONSSmall Animal UltrasoundUltrasound is an imaging method that uses sound waves instead of radiation. When sound waves enter the body, reflections occur at tissue interfaces. These are received by the transducer (probe), and all together create a real time image visible on the machine monitor. Come see for yourself! Ultrasounds use sound waves to penetrate the layers of the body. It projects a “movie” onto a computer screen or TV. Come see for yourself! Radiology

Equine AcupunctureToday’s veterinarians are able to use a wide range of therapies including acupuncture and chiropractic therapies. Acupuncture uses the placement of needles in the body to relieve pain and treat various physical conditions. Chiropractic therapy uses the adjustment of the spine and other body parts for the relief of pain and inflammation. Outdoor Paddock (If rain-Large Animal Barn A)

Canine AgilitySee Mrs. Cindi McKenzie and her dog demonstrate some of the skill developed in canine agility. In this sport, the dog handler directs a dog through an obstacle course. Dogs compete on both time and accuracy. The Grove
