MONDAY, JULY 4, 2016 lifestyle FASHION T he 39-year-old rapper, who has his own clothing brand Yeezy, has collab- orated with the German sportswear giant since 2013 when he launched his first range but he’s now releasing even more fashion pieces in an extension of his exist- ing brand called Adidas + Kanye West col- lection. Speaking about the new collection, Kanye said: “These past two years Adidas and Yeezy have given a glimpse into our future. This partnership illustrates that any- one with a dream can dream without limi- tations.” The collection will see sportswear added to the ‘Bound 2’ hitmaker’s existing fashion lines and it will even have several exclusive stores worldwide to showcase his designs - which are expected to drop in early 2017. Eric Liedtke, Adidas CMO said: “Kanye is a true creator who has the ability to see things others don’t. We are exploring new territories by opening up the sports world to Kanye’s creativity. This is what Adidas has always been about, empowering creators to create the new.” Adidas’ decision to sup- port stores selling his products has been attributed to the success of his own ‘Life of Pablo’ pop up shops that appeared in New York and Los Angeles. Despite claiming ear- lier in the year that he was $53 million in debt, Kanye has continued to pour money into personal projects. In March this year, the hip-hop superstar, who shares six- month-old son Saint and three-year-old daughter North, with his wife Kim Kardashian West, announced he was creat- ing a “million” new pairs of trainers this year and has hinted they’ll be on sale at a cheaper retail price. — Bang Showbiz Billie Faiers launches a health and fitness website T he ‘Only Way is Essex’ star - who has two-year-old daughter Nelly with her fiance Greg Shepherd - has set up her own business venture called Make Your Switch as she attempts to help other new moth- ers across the nation stay fit and healthy. Billie said: “I’m really excited to be part of Make Your Switch - it allows busy mums like me or people with a hectic lifestyle to work out at home and avoid expensive gym class fees!” The website, which is free to sign up and offers a free seven day trial, offers subscribers tips to help them lose, maintain and build weight Subscribers can also use the mobile app to track their progress. It boasts more than 2,700 healthy recipes and over 150 diet plans and has access to 1,200 workout videos and fitness plans. Dr Jones, who is the website’s ambassador for health, said: “We are currently, as a nation, struggling with our weight, well-being and general health more than ever before. I aim to help you realize that, by making some small changes to your busy lives, your health can soar.” Billie went from a size 8 to a size 10 during her pregnancy and instead of opting for a crazy diet following Nelly’s birth, she focused on exercising - doing five sets of 20 squats and crunches throughout the day. — Bang Showbiz T he 27-year-old Canadian model has taken an ownership and management stake in Nomad Modeling agency. Coco announced the news via her Twitter account say- ing, “Major news in todays @WWD!! Proud to announce I’ve taken a man- agement and ownership stake in@NomadMgmt. #nomadmgmt. (sic)” Coco’s new role will see her act as brand director and be on hand for mentorship and career guidance for models. The role is one that will fit nicely with issues that have become close to her heart over her 15-year career. The model said: “Having worked with many of the world’s top modeling agencies for the last decade, I’ve seen what works and doesn’t work in managing a model’s career. “In the past I’ve openly appealed to industry leaders for more ethical treatment of underage models, trans- parent accounting practices and I’ve spoken out regarding pressures and unhealthy expectations too often projected on models working today.” Coco also intends to advise models on looking after themselves; includ- ing healthy eating and managing the business side of their careers. She explained: “I told my personal accountant that I’d love for him to sit down and explain to the models the books and how they keep them, and taxes, and what questions you should ask. “As boring as the subject could be, it’s so important to learn early on in your career. In the first few years, I knew nothing about my books. I wish someone had taken me aside and taught me. “The same goes to styling and how to present yourself to a new client, working on your attitude, if a girl has issues with eating, you have to take care of them. You have to help them and guide them.” — Bang Showbiz Kanye West has signed a new deal with Adidas Paris Fashion Week: Yuima Nakazato Models present creations by Yuima Nakazato during the 2016-2017 fall/winter Haute Couture collection fashion show yesterday in Paris. — AFP photos Coco Rocha has become a model manager
