    Trigger Point

    To find the trigger points that are causing tightness and tension in the muscles around the eye:

    1) With your index finger probe with gentle but firm pressure the muscle fiber pictured

    2) When you are using gentle but firm pressure a simple touch should not hurt

    3) If it does hurt a bit probably this is a li!ely trigger point creating pain somewhere else") When you identify a trigger point increase the pressure till the pain hurts on a scale from 1 to 1#

    With the pointer finger of each hand massage your temples 0the side of the head on the leel with the eyes)

    in the depression that you will find there* If you wear glasses the depressed location is right underneath

    each side of your glasses frame*

    you wear glasses this is right under where the center of the glasses sets upon your nose*

    This is a tric!y one* Place the ball of your thumb along the underside of the upper margin of your eyesoc!et

    find the supraorbital notch and press* 0"What?") In other words press up under the eyebrow with the ball of

    your thumb* ust under the top of each eye soc!et there is a little notch* o !idding you can feel it* This tells

    you that you;e got the right place* Press carefully upward*

    Eye Socket Massage

    With the middle fingers massage the bone of the eye soc!ets with eyes closed* +oe the fingers

    outwards and upwards then down to the bridge of the nose as indicated by the arrows in figure 1*epeat eight times*

    Ear Lobes Massage

    6se the thumbs to massage the bones behind the ear lobes in an up and down moement* epeat A

    We;re not een close to the eye muscles but there is reason to beliee that reflex or trigger points operate

    throughout the human organism* 6tiliBation of such a point is in your hands literally* With your palm open

    and your thumb up you will notice a ridge of s!in between your thumb and a top plateau that runs flat up to

    your forefinger* Ta!e the thumb of your opposite hand and place it oer this fold of s!in on top li!e a

    tent* oll the thumb further oer the side and you will locate a point about a thumb;s distance in* +eet your

    thumb with the forefinger and press together*

    Yuyao Point Massage

    Identify the two ?uyao points located at the medical 0inner) aspect of the eyebrows*

    Press your thumbs against the 2 points in a circular moement to a count of eight beats per

    cycle* epeat the eight circles*

    Zanzhu Points Massage

    Identify the CanBhu points which are located on both sides of the nasal bridge*

    6sing either your right or left hand place your thumb and index finger on the points* Press

    downwards and massage upwards to a count of eight beats per cycle* epeat the eight cycles

    Shibai Points Massage

    Identify the .hibai points on your chee!s by dropping a ertical line from the pupils of your

    eyes and a horiBontal line from the nearer 0sides) of your nose* The cross point of these two

    lines is where the .hibai point is*

    Press your index fingers on the .ibai points and support your thumbs on the angles of your

    Daws with the same remaining middle ring and little fingers on both sides of your chin*

    +assage the points in a circular moement to a count of eight beats per cycle* epeat this

    for eight cycles*

    Taiyang Point Massage

    Pressing on temple points and sliding around the eye soc!ets

    Identify the Taiyang points which are located at the most hollow areas of your temples*

    Press on the Taiyang points with your thumbs and flex the remaining fingers into a fist

    position*

    6se the !nuc!les of your index fingers to slide oer from medial to the lateral aspect of the

    upper eye soc!ets for the first four beats and continue to do similarly oer the lower eye

    soc!ets for the second four beats of each cycle* epeat these eight cycles*

    9ontinue to press and Floo!G up then down* epeat all four motions* Then repeat once more and then

    again* ow easily remoe your hands slowly open your eyes and wait a bit before you put your Hspec!s on
