Christy Card seemed to have a picture perfect life. But inside she was yearning for more, not only for herself but for her family as well.

When she lost her corporate position, this Vista, California, mother decided she needed to make a change. So when a friend introduced her to the Arbonne Opportunity, she pushed her fears aside, launched her business, and transformed her life.

In 2011, I married my dream man. We bought a beautiful house, a brand new luxury car, and I held a Vice President position with a huge international company. As a little girl, I vowed to work hard to live without financial stress like we did growing up. I chose to climb the corporate later all the way to the top, no matter how difficult it was. But I worked 60+ hours a week, my boss was awful, and my social and family life fell apart. What no one knew was that I was scared, depressed and wanted out of the stressful life I had created.

I wished away my weeks and prayed for Friday every week. I wanted nothing more than to have time freedom. Something had to change. Then in October my corporate position was given to my boss’s son and what I had worked so hard my entire life was gone in seconds. I was devastated. for Arbonne.” Within one coffee, with now National Vice President Samantha Muleady, I said yes and launched in November 2011.

It’s funny how Arbonne finds a way to you. I was introduced to Arbonne in 2007 through a sample of the company’s anti-aging skincare line, RE9 Advanced®. At the time I was 24, but I was already seeing the damage I had created by not taking care of my skin. After a couple days I knew that Arbonne was my forever product. The results were incredible and my skin was glowing. Unfortunately, I bought Arbonne for five years and was never told about the opportunity. Who knew that years later this extraordinary company would change my life.

One of the most life altering moments was when my father-in-law passed away suddenly of a heart attack in 2010. He had a genetic heart condition and we found out — a week before our wedding — that my husband had the condition as well. This planted a seed in me that I wanted more in life. I wanted more time freedom, but I also wanted financial security, and, if he wanted, allow my husband to retire from his stressful life as a contractor. This is and will continue to be a huge reason why I build my Arbonne business for our family.

I was nervous to start my Arbonne business. I didn’t know what I was doing, scared that I wouldn’t be good enough, and also a bit snobby about my prior accomplishments. I wasn’t going to let fear stop me. I felt Arbonne was my only hope to be able to work from home, for myself, and to be able to give my family everything they deserved. Although the path may be longer than you planned, the journey of who you become, the friendships you gain, and the memories you make will change you into the person you were truly meant to be.

For someone taking a look at this business I would say, “Why wouldn’t you do it?” You have nothing to lose and a life you’ve only dreamed of to gain. You can work in your nooks and crannies and are taught to plug in and fol-low a simple system. I’m so grateful I didn’t let fear, ego, or doubt stop me. No other business has this kind of flexibility, premium quality, and extremely competitive compensation plan. We get paid to share and sell products, but also to help so many reach their dreams as well.

My husband and I are so grateful for the different lifestyle and time manage-ment my Arbonne business has provided us. I now have a three-year-old daughter, get to travel all over the world, work at home, and have the most amazing friends. I also have both financial and time freedom, and get awards and recognition — it’s crazy! Earning the Mercedes-Benz Cash Bonus was amazing as a Regional Vice President, but giving away the keys to a beautiful white Mercedes-Benz is far more rewarding. Now I’m an Executive Regional Vice President, and I have the most kindhearted, grateful, loving, and inspir-ing team ever.

It’s amazing how many genuine and lovely people are in my life because of this business. I owe so much to them that a simple thank you will never be enough.
