Logic of use
The HFM modules read the data from the sensors and record it on the integrated SD card.
For large fixed installations, a master-slave solution can be used to reduce costs (the slave
modules do not have a Bluetooth or sd card on board, so they can only read the sensors, but
they do not have the possibility of being configured by the customer. They are set at the time of
purchase. The data is then sent via wi-fi to the master module that records the data of all the
slave modules present).
The optional mini USB socket is used to download the recorded data (in CSV format) to a
PC for further processing and editing of the instrument report with the sw U-Value. In addition, if
you opt for rechargeable batteries, the USB port is also used for charging.
The devices are normally powered by a 3.6 V lithium-ion battery, in case of purchase of
devices with rechargeable battery, the charging operation can be done by connecting the box to a
PC or a common electrical outlet.
The Bluetooth module is used in the setup and configuration phase through apps (supplied
free of charge) on Android or Iphone smartphones.
The HFM flowmeter is supplied with a U-value, integrated software (s.o. Windows) for
reporting and calculation of transmittance in place, a simple and intuitive program that guides
the user, with a few steps, from the import of measured data to the final report.

HFM flowmeters can be configured according to specific customer requirements, the ones
shown in the previous pages are only the most common.
WMS monitoring systems with intrinsic robustness are designed for use in extreme
environments with an intrinsic protection degree of IP 67. The devices are optimized "Low Power" and
are powered by 1 lithium-ion battery of 3.6V that guarantees a use for 3-5 years depending on the
type of sensor connected. The GPRS concentrator/modem, for long-term monitoring applications, can
be powered, at choice, by a power grid or a photovoltaic panel of a few tens of watts.
The strong point of WMS systems is the electronics, entirely designed and developed in our
facilities, which has a 24-bit heart that ensures high standards of precision in the process of
measurement and sampling all in a footprint of only 13x9x4 cm that make it one of the smallest
measuring systems on the market.
Our systems are all modular and expandable and allow the use of a wide range of sensors for
the most varied needs for use in the most diverse sectors such as hydrogeological, environmental,
structural, energy, just to name a few.
HFM is an integral part of the development program called WMS-PROJECT (Wireless
Monitoring Systems), a set of user-friendly monitoring systems that are easy to use and install, with a
reduced use of cables and can be controlled remotely.

Non-invasive probe fixing system
Extratech, constantly looking for innovative solutions, has developed and tested a special
system for fixing the contact probes to ensure perfect positioning without causing any damage to
the surface finish of the wall.
