The more than 250 lots feature a full spectrum of 18 th and 19 th century fine art, fine Victorian and French furniture, silver and porcelains, and include exceptional collectibles from George Innes to John and Joseph Meeks. Devotees of early American furniture and decorative arts have much cause for excitement. An extraordinary painting by a prominent New York Hudson River School artist will be offered. A lovely pastoral landscape with church by New Yorker George Inness New York (1825-1894) has a pre-sale estimate of $35,000 to $45,000. From a prominent collector David Reed comes fine examples of East Coast Victoriana. Of particular interest to collectors is a spectacular American Rococo Revival Rosewood étagère attributed to New York’s John and Joseph Meeks. Just shy of 7 feet tall this piece has a pre-sale estimate of $35,000 to $45,000. Also of interest amongst David Reed’s Collections are two American Aesthetic movement ebonized and upholstered side chairs, Attributed to Herter Brothers has a pre-sale estimate of $2,500 to $3,500.
