Extragenital lichen sclerosus et atrophicus
A 50-years-old women.The patient was referred to us for the assessment of lesions on the abdomen.
Extragenital lichen sclerosus et atrophicus
Physical Examination:Hypopigmented, atrophic, 3cm to 6cm, thin plaques were present on the abdomen and inframammary area. Genital skin was without lesion.

Skin Biopsy revealed:
Epidermal atrophy.Vacuolar alteration of dermo-epidermal junction.Sclerosis of the papillary dermis.

Laboratory examinations:A complete blood count, liver, kidney, and thyroid function tests were normal. Antinuclear antibody and Borrelia burgdorferi serology was negative.

Treatment of extragenital Lichen Sclerosus has been reported:
The first-line treatment for all types, is the use of superpotent topical glucocorticoids. Tacrolimus ointment not useful for patients with extragenital lichen sclerosus.Pulsed high-dose corticosteroids combined with low-dose methotrexate treatment in patients with refractory generalized extragenital lichen sclerosus.

Other treatments:Narrowband UV-B phototherapy.Pulsed dye laser Topical and oral retinoids PUVA.UVA1 phototherapy.Antimalarials.

In this case performed initially treated with topical glucocorticoids getting good response.
