COMMISSIONING PROCEDURE

Check protecti onsCheck the 6 minimal protecti ons before beginning of the commissioning:• Overspeed, overvoltage, emergency stop, oil pressure, water tempera-

ture, refl ected power.

1- Check perfectly the wiring:Power part (TI ways), phase match, current and voltage measurement, breaker’s acti on and positi on feedback, emergency stop (on fuel command), engine command (fuel/starter) …

2- Start :• Unplug the “E” connector of GENSYS2.0 (breakers control)• Push the butt on [MANU], and then the butt on [START].

3- Check the breaker closing :• Verify the non-presence of load on the busbar.• Connect the “E” connector to the GENSYS 2.0.• Start the engine on manual mode by pushing the butt on [Manu] and then the butt on [Start].• Push the butt on [0/I] of engine breaker.• The breaker have to be close (control OK) and the front panel led of GENSYS 2.0 must be light on (feedback of breaker infor-

mati on OK). • Apply a dummy load on bus bar (acti ve or reacti ve).• Real and reacti ve powers have to be positi ve and correct on each phase (Ph1, Ph2 Ph3). Check the 3 currents, 3 tensions and

the speed that have to be unchanged and stabled.• Push the butt on [0/I] of generator’s breaker. Breaker has to be open and the LED switch off .

Do the same operati ons 1 to 3 on each group.During step 2 – Start, do the following operati ons:

• Unplug the ‘’E’’ connector ofGENSYS2.0 (breakers control)• Push the butt on [MANU], and then the butt on [START].• Check that the engine start is stabilized at 1500 rpm and 400V.

• If it’s not adjust the speed and/or the gain/stab on the regulati on box of speed and voltage AVR.• Push “+”and check that speed increase. When the variable E2058 raise to 7000 (around one minute pushing on “+”) the en-

gine must be around 53Hz. (Adjust gain and off set if it’s necessary)• Push‘’Shift +’’ and check that tension increase. When the variable E2040 raise to 7000 (around one minute pushing on ‘’shift

+’’) the engine must be around 430V.• (Adjust gain and off set if it’s necessary.)

4- Synchronizati on test• Check the voltage on the busbar (the busbar must be powered by another engine).• Unplug the “E”connector.• Start the engine in [AUTO] mode. (asking of start = J3)• Check in the [i] menu that you are in synchronizati on mode. • If it’s necessary, adjust the PID of synchronizati on of phase, voltage and frequency (confi gurati on menu / synchronizati on)

depending of the reacti on of frequency and the synchroscope.

When the phase diff erence is stable and close to 0°, measure the 3 voltages (L1, L2, and L3) directly on both sides of breaker, between generator and busbar.We should have a fl uctuati on of a few volts when synchronizati on appears OK.When you are sure there is no errors on wiring, stop the generator. Plug the “E”connector.Start in [AUTO] mode + remote start (J3).The generator have to be coupled to the busbar quickly. (Synchronizati on + closing the breaker)

1- Test of ramp load sharing / kW regulati on

• Aft er closing the breaker if group is in reverse power or stay in low charge during the ramp’s ti me :• Increase P= Gain constant in the menu « confi gurati on / KVAR control loops ». Pa-

• At the end of ramp’s ti mer, GENSYS 2.0 will switch in sharing mode “kW Sharing Gain» • Adjust the load sharing gain P= KW sharing in the menu « confi gurati on / KVAR

control loops ». To have an equal sharing, Display / Power plant overview /kW

If the sharing is stable but one group take more charge than another, the no-load speed must be adjust (directly on the speed regulati on).

Do the operati ons 1 to 4. Then :• The power reading is made by CT / CPA (4-20mA, 0-10V)• Apply a dummy load on mains (acti ve or reacti ve)• Acti ve and reacti ve powers must be positi ve and correct on each phase (Ph1, Ph2, Ph3).

Check the presence of the 3 currents and 3 voltages. + Menu Display / Mains meter.• Check base load and peak shaving

Same as 1 genset mains paralleled mode with specifi citi es of MASTER2.0• Make sure that this one control all GENSYS 2.0 of the power stati on :

• All gensets in AUTO with their breaker closed.• Check that MASTER read correctly the power of the stati on and mains. (reading by CT / Acti ve Power Converter / Canbus)

• Parameter 4037, current reading by CT / Canbus / Acti ve Power Converter• Apply a dummy load on Mains/power plant (acti ve et reacti ve)• Acti ve and reacti ve power must be positi ve and correct on each phases (Ph1, Ph2, Ph3). Check the presence and value of the

3 voltages and 3 currents. + menu Display/Mains meter/power plant.• Check base load and peak shaving.
