1. PRESENTATION

Attended by 7800 professional visitors, EXPOSEGURIDAD - SICUR LATINOAMERICA, the

International Integral Security and Public Order Exhibition was held at Espacio Riesco in

Santiago de Chile, and featured new products and services from more than 150 companies

from 11 countries. The exhibition focused on new generation products, solutions and

technologies for use in sectors such as Citizen and Private Security; Security in Emergencies

and Catastrophes, and Occupational Safety and Risk Prevention.

The meeting was also a get-together for the integral security world, and was held from 23 to

25 October and organised by Carabineros de Chile and FISA. It received international support

from IFEMA, as co-organiser of the event and the SICUR brand, which has become established

as a leader in the European and Latin American security sector.

Among the companies which attended the event as a result of IFEMA’s management and

international regional offices, the following Spanish companies were there: Aeronáutica SDLE;

Techs by Textil Santanderina; Informática del Este, S.L. – Tecnoware SI, and Tecnodimensión

When it comes to visitors, there were professionals from 25 countries, mainly South America,

which accounted for 70%, North America with 15% and Europe, with 9%. Regarding the profile

of those visitors by activity, EXPOSEGURIDAD-SICUR LATINOAMERICA was attended by some

highly qualified professionals. In this regard, numerous members of the Police and Armed

Forces showed up, accounting for 19%, while representatives from the world of Private

Security and general industry, accounted for 9% each. There were also numerous

representatives from areas like communications, services, risk prevention, consultancy,

construction companies, fire fighters, industrial manufacturers, architecture, government

bodies, transport, the mining industry, retail, skills centres, and industry, among others.

There were also two outstanding B2B Business Networking Sessions which led to 220

meetings between suppliers, fair participants, and professionals from the retail, health,

tourism, banking, manufacturing, Armed Forces and Security Bodies, and the food industry,

interested in acquiring technologies and solutions to their needs.

To coincide with the trade exhibition, the event hosted the International Integral Security

Congress, and a range of Workshops for debate, knowledge transfer and presentation of

success stories in the Integral Security area; Technical-Business Talks, and an extensive line-

up of demonstrations and exercises delivered by public and private sector representatives,

together with exhibiting companies, who shared their practices, skills, dexterity and

advantages of the different equipment and services.
