Zero and Negative Exponents
Zero Exponents
Anything with an exponent of zero reduces to 1.
Examples:

Negative Exponents
If an exponent is negative, you can make it positive by moving it.
If it is in the denominator, move it to the numerator.
If it is in the numerator, move it to the denominator.
