Magic This project was named ‘Magic Circle’ because

of its meaning (pg.12) and the relation to the

topic ‘Circus’; this term also allows me to

explore the phrase further and give me more

possibilities. Before deciding on the name,

other names were considered such as: Magic

Eyes, Circle Of Dust, Trick & Illusions, Creative

Ring, Blind Balance, among others.

As the frst step to continue the study into

‘Magic Circle’, this publication shows my

initial research method and thoughts since

the draft proposal hand-in. First of all bought

myself a ticket +1 to a World Premier by

Pangottic Circus- Theatre ‘Logic of Nothing’.

As I had never been to ‘CIRCOMEDIA’ at the St

Paul’s Church venue I decided to bring a friend

to get a different perfective of show. This was

Grace Gosling, who I also asked to write me

her experience of the overall performance;

this is shown on page 12.

Logic of Nothing is an exploration into a

relationship between MAN, CIRCUS and

CONTRAPTION using a blend of CLOWN,

JUGGLING, MAGIC and INVENTION. All set to a

unique live soundtrack of sounds and sample

taken from the contraptions themselves.’
