SOUTH PACIFIC ISLANDS

Into the Deep Blue: UNCOVERING the

While the South Pacific islands often conjure images of a remote romantic paradise, the vastness of the islands actually endows an extraordinary level of diversity that surprises even the well-travelled. Shaped by a range of rich native cultures and European colonial influences, along with highly unique flora and fauna, the South Pacific island groups beckon for a deeper exploration to truly appreciate all they have to offer.

OUR TOP 3 CHOICES

FRENCH POLYNESIA

With gorgeous beaches, dramatic volcanic peaks and crystal clear lagoons, this collection of islands lives up to every bit of its legendary allure. Composed of over 115 islands and atolls, French Polynesia offers the ultimate exotic getaways to world famous Tahiti and Bora Bora, and also to lesser-known gems. For rare glimpses into other cultural layers, explore Fakarava, a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and mythical Raiatea, home to French Polynesia’s most ancient places of worship.

EASTER ISLAND

Imbued with mystery and characterized by surreal windswept landscapes, Easter Island perhaps makes one of the most intriguing choices of the South Pacific islands. The island’s unexplained monolithic statues, moai, constitute the prime reason many visit, but the island offers much more. With an emphasis on eco-tourism, nature hikes, volcano trekking, spelunking and horseback riding offer unique ways to explore the ancient culture and distinct landscapes of Easter Island that captivate so many.

FIJI

The palm-flanked beaches are only the beginning of lush and dreamy Fiji. Since only one-third of Fiji’s 300 islands are inhabited, embracing the spirit of Robinson Crusoe remains simple. Renowned for its abundance of pristine soft coral reefs, snorkelling or a trip in a glass-bottom boat in Lautoka makes for a perfect afternoon. Soak up the multicultural vibrancy of Suva, the heart of Fiji, and just outside the city, explore the peaceful rainforest and mountain pools.

STARS OF ASIAUNESCO World Heritage

Founded on the principal that our cultural and natural heritage are irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) continually strives to preserve significant heritage sites spanning the globe. Encompassing sites as diverse as Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, the Incan legacy of Machu Picchu and the architectural works of Antoni Gaudí, the UNESCO World Heritage List now includes over 1,000 protected natural and historical sites. The sites on the facing page represent the richness of UNESCO World Heritage Sites available on Oceania Cruises voyages throughout Asia.

BEIJING XIAN TERRACOTTA WARRIORS

Nestled in the northwest province of Shaanxi, a subterranean terracotta army of over 7,000 soldiers stands guard over the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the founder of the first unified Chinese empire during the 3rd century BC. In 1974, a group of peasants digging a well fortuitously discovered what now constitutes one of the most famous archaeological finds in the world, as well as one of the most significant contributions to Chinese sculpture prior to the Han Dynasty. On an exploration of the site, experience the majesty of the endless rows of warriors, noticing the extraordinary level of artistic detail and how no two soldiers’ faces are alike.

BANGKOK HISTORIC CITY OF AYUTTHAYA

Founded in 1350, the Historic City of Ayutthaya offers an extraordinary glimpse of ancient Siam. The city, ideally located on an island bound by three rivers, was once an epicentre of global diplomacy and trade. The island-city now brims with archaeological ruins and relics that demonstrate both the ingenuity and creativity of the Ayutthaya civilisation, and the kingdom’s devastation at the hands of the Burmese in 1767. A fascinating study in architecture, the temples and palaces feature a number of influences, such as that of ancient Khmer and Sukhothai. One of the best ways to explore the expansive ruins is by bicycle. Alternatively, you can hire a tuk-tuk or longtail boat.

MANGALORE | COCHINWESTERN GHATS

The Western Ghats, a lush ribbon of mountains tracing the western coast of India, bear immense global significance – and are even older than the Himalaya mountains. The mountain range plays a vital role in the equilibrium of the region’s tropical climate, and each year during the Indian monsoons, the Western Ghats transform into a majestic world of misty waterfalls, pools, and dew-drenched foliage. Also recognized as one of the world’s eight “hottest hotspots” of biological diversity, the mountains are home to hundreds of globally-threatened flora and fauna species, as well as herds of wild buffalo and elephants. Explore the unique ecosystems with a trek in the Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary or the Munnar Hills.

Mix the duck with hoisin sauce (1 tablespoon per serving). Then add the watermelon, cucumber sticks, herbs, shallots and cashew nuts. Season with the Thai sweet fish sauce and chili flakes. Mix well and serve.

FUSION OF TASTE

Red Ginger’s captivating centrepiece, a trio of glass-carved Buddha heads illuminated from within, appropriately sets the tone – and aptly represents the pillars of cuisine underpinning Oceania Cruises’ celebrated Asian restaurant. Loire Valley-born Franck Garanger, Culinary Director of Oceania Cruises, set out to develop the concept in 2009, fusing Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisines together. “Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisines are full of flavour and very dynamic,” he explains. “They also offer a large selection of ingredients.”

In many ways, Red Ginger embodies Garanger’s unique culinary vision, continually seeking to cultivate and unify influences from travelling. He spent a significant amount of time in Japan, and throughout Asia, in order to research dishes that would inspire Red Ginger’s menu. He also cites San Francisco’s award-winning Slanted Door and London’s acclaimed Gilgamesh as significant influences. Red Ginger is a culmination of years of travel, experimentation, testing, tasting and refining – a dedication to culinary excellence that cannot be rushed.

Garanger points to some of Red Ginger’s most classic dishes, Spicy Duck & Watermelon Salad (recipe below) and Miso Sea Bass, as his favourites. He says, laughing, “Not exactly original choices, I know – but these are signature dishes for a reason!” To close an evening at Red Ginger in perfect harmony, try his prized dessert, Coconut Chocolate Cake.

Though Garanger and his team have worked diligently to create a distinguished menu, the commitment to Red Ginger’s continued culinary innovation and distinction remains strong. In fact, you can expect a refreshed menu at the end of 2014 – he has been working closely with renowned London chef and master of Pan Asian cuisine, Ricky Pang, on some exciting new additions. But as for the new menu, Garanger says some things will remain constant: “The favourites will stay – we won’t touch those.”

THE RED GINGER EXPERIENCE

SAVOURING SAKE

An ancient Japanese saying, “Sake never fights with food,” only begins to hint at its pairing power. Though an age-old Japanese tradition, the fermented rice libation has recently been garnering increasing international recognition for its food pairing potential – and not just with Japanese food. The variety of sake styles actually offer diverse flavour profiles, ranging from light, floral and smooth to fruity and full-bodied. One of the main factors that affects the flavour and mouthfeel of sake is how much the grain of rice is polished. More milling results in a fragrant, lighter sake, and less milling creates a fuller-bodied, bolder sake.

In general, there are five basic types of sake: Junmai-shu, Honjozo-shu, Ginjo-shu, Daiginjo-shu and Namazake. Here is just a sampling of the different types you might find on our sake menu at Red Ginger.

GINJO SAKE

Dewazakura “Oka” Cherry Bouquet

A favourite among enthusiasts, a lovely aroma and clean taste, floral rather than fruity, a touch of pear and hint of melon. Food pairing: salads, sashimi, summer rolls, light-flavoured food. Served chilled.

JUNMAI SAKE

Akitabare “Koshiki Junzukuri” Northern Skies

Rich, subdued, rounded, mild texture and earthy aroma, a well-crafted traditional sake. Food pairing: cheese, mushrooms, chicken, fried foods, meat pastry. Served chilled.

DAIGINJO SAKE

Akitabare “Suirakuten” Heaven of Tipsy Delight

Aged for two years after brewing, luscious, juicy melon and muscat grape characteristics, nuanced and gentle, fascinating. Food pairing: cheese, sautéed mushrooms, grilled chicken, grilled seafood, fried foods, meat pastry. Served chilled.

Try beginning your next meal onboard Marina or Riviera with a glass of sake to open up your appetite. For those new to sake, Culinary Director Franck Garanger suggests starting out with a Junmai sake, the most traditional style of sake.

A BRIEF HISTORY: FROM BAMBOO TO BRONZE

With truly ancient roots in history, chopsticks have been used for over 5,000 years. Originating in China, these elegant eating utensils were primarily used as kitchen tools, later spreading across Asia. It’s often thought that the teachings of one of China’s greatest philosophers, Confucius, may have helped solidify the ascent of chopsticks.

Chopsticks have long been made out of many different materials, but bamboo remains the most common, preferred since it does not conduct heat, nor does it hold any odors or tastes. Various materials came into use with different Chinese dynasties. During the Shang Dynasty (1600 BC – 1050 BC) the King and Queen favoured ivory chopsticks, since it was the most valuable. Bronze was used during the Western Zhou Dynasty (1100 BC – 771 BC), while lacquered chopsticks were popular during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC – 24 AD). Gold and silver came into use during the Tang Dynasty (618 AD – 907 AD), and silver was highly prized by royalty – it was believed that the silver would corrode and turn black if the food had been poisoned.

The next time you’re onboard, visit Red Ginger and choose from our special selection of chopsticks to enjoy your delicious meal.

FRIENDS: OCEANIA CLUB LIFE

Married for 55 years this summer, Sandy and Ron Margolis are seasoned travel partners, exploring the globe together now for more than half a century. Sandy notes that their very first trip was to Jamaica with friends, “to see if we’d all like travelling together, which we did!” From the streets of Barcelona and Mumbai to the temples of Angkor Wat and the rainforest canopies of the Amazon, Sandy and Ron have shared wonderful experiences throughout the world.

For the past ten years they’ve been travelling to destinations around the world with Oceania Cruises, enjoying the intimacy of the mid-size ships and personalized service for which Oceania Cruises has become known.

“We’ve cruised with a lot of other lines in the past, and with Oceania it always feels like family,” Ron says. “We walk onboard, and it seems like someone always says, ‘Oh, you were on Nautica last year.’ They remember, they really remember.”

“It’s just the way everything is run – not just the other guests – but the crew and staff. It’s so pleasant and smooth, from start to finish,” Sandy says.

Sandy and Ron enjoy spending their afternoons at sea participating in the trivia tournaments, and note how the camaraderie builds up even prior to the cruise. “We get emails in advance – ‘Are you going on this cruise? We need you on the team!’” Ron says, laughing. “It’s just so enjoyable that way.”

The couple also appreciates the gourmet cuisine aboard Oceania Cruises. “The food is just phenomenal,” Sandy says. She loves the dishes at both Red Ginger and Jacques, when sailing on Marina and Riviera, while Ron’s favourites are the prime rib, steaks and chops featured at Polo Grill.

Though they’ve been travelling nearly their whole lives, there are still places left on their bucket list. What’s next? After travelling to Scandinavia this month, the couple plans to visit the east coast of Africa next year and eventually hopes to spend some time in Singapore and northern Japan. “And we’d really love to see the Taj Majal,” Sandy adds, laughing. “There’s always somewhere more.”

OCEANIA CLUB AMBASSADORS

Born and raised in the natural beauty of Vancouver, Shane Erickson joined Oceania Cruises in 2011 as an Oceania Club Ambassador and has since had the privilege of sailing throughout the world on all five ships. Shane is currently on Regatta and will enjoy sailing with her along the colourful coasts of New England and Canada this fall. In January, he’s delighted to join Insignia for her inaugural Around the World in 180 Days voyage.

Q. Where is home when you’re not working or travelling?

A. It depends on the season. My entire family still lives in Vancouver and so I’ll spend the summer vacation in Vancouver with them. In the winter months, I’ll spend time with my little sister and her family — plus the sunshine — down in Huntington Beach, California.

Q. What do you love about your job?

A. I think the best part of my job (other than the opportunity to travel the globe in 5-star style!) is getting to meet and interact with our guests on a daily basis. I’ve started many great friendships with guests that I’ve met onboard. Oceania Cruises has an extremely loyal clientele, and I have the pleasure of seeing our guests over and over again.

Q. Where do you travel for pleasure?

A. Travel has been a priority for me for longer than I can remember, and travelling with Oceania Cruises is a true pleasure. I feel so fortunate to have found a career that allows me to travel for a living. What a gift. When I’m not on ship in the summer months, I spend time on my motorcycle. I’ve ridden down the West Coast from Vancouver to San Diego several times – down Highway 1 and 101 is some of the prettiest country you will ever see.

Next winter, I’m making plans for a month in Bali. Indonesia is incredible to me…such amazing natural beauty, and Indonesians are such a charming and gracious people. It’s been really interesting to see the changes in that country over the last 25 years since my first visit in 1990.

CHINA

First prospering during the Tang Dynasty and considered one of the seven Chinese necessities, tea has a storied history in China. Teahouses, tea ceremonies, and everyday tea are all elements embedded in Chinese culture. Green tea makes the most popular choice, prized for its health benefits. Notably, cups of tea in China are never served full – it’s considered impolite.

INDIA

As the world’s second-largest tea grower, tea is popular throughout India, brewed both at home and at ubiquitous tea stalls. Masala chai, black tea with a blend of spices such as cinnamon, ginger and green cardamom, is traditionally served at breakfast and during the evening, with warmed milk and sugar.

JAPAN

Formal Japanese tea ceremonies date back to the 16th century, and are still practiced throughout the country. The secular rituals feature Matcha tea, a type of stone ground green tea, served in special ceramic ware and traditional Japanese sweets to balance the bitterness of the tea.

ENLIGHTEN: ART & CULTURE

STEEPEDTRADITIONAL TEA CULTURE IN ASIA

Though often linked with England, scones and clotted cream, a variety of rich legends about the origin of tea exist throughout Asia, highlighting its deep cultural ties to the continent. According to one Chinese legend, Emperor Shen accidentally made the first cup of tea nearly 5,000 years ago, when he was purifying water beneath the shade of a tea tree and a few dried leaves blew into his pot.

HERE’S A BRIEF GLIMPSE AT TEA TRADITIONS IN ASIA:

BLACK TEA ORCHID VANILLA Madagascar vanilla, coconut slivers, luxurious, indulging

HERBAL TEA GINGER LEMONGRASS Spring lemongrass, soft ginger, balanced, invigorating

GREEN TEA CHINA GUNPOWDER Hand-rolled green tea leaves, aromatic oils, grassy, stimulating

WHITE TEA WHITE GINGER PEAR Japanese pear, hint of ginger, exotic, alluring

TEA TIME During your next voyage with Oceania Cruises, embrace the ancient tradition of tea, and sample artisanal teas from our signature tea menu, including an array of black, herbal, green and white teas.

Notification | Information contained in this brochure is not an offer or a contract. The transportation of guests and baggage on Oceania Cruises’ vessels is provided solely by the Operator and is governed by the Terms and Conditions printed on the Guest Ticket/Contract. For complete information on Terms and Conditions, itineraries, liability of Oceania Cruises, and all sections mentioned below, please refer to the Guest Ticket/Contract. A copy of the Guest Ticket/Contract is available by contacting your Travel Agent or online at OceaniaCruises.com. Upon booking the cruise, all of the Terms and Conditions of the Guest Ticket/Contract shall be binding on the parties thereto.

Fares | Fares are per person and are based on double occupancy. Fares do not include pre-paid charges, personal charges or optional facilities and service fees, as those terms are clearly defined in the Guest Ticket/Contract. Also not included are shore excursions, meals ashore, baggage handling, gratuities, beverages not part of the regular menu, laundry service and other onboard amenities and services, including spa treatments. International Intro Fares and Special Fares include cruise-related government fees and taxes.

Deposit and Payments | The per person, per cruise deposit required to secure your reservation is 20% of the applicable cruise fare for Owner’s, Vista and Oceania Suites and €500 for all other suite/stateroom categories; for Grand Voyages the per person deposit is €1,000. Bookings made more than 120 days from sailing are required to deposit 20% of the applicable cruise fare for Owner’s, Vista, and Oceania Suites and €500 for all other suite/stateroom categories within 7 days of booking. Bookings made between 91 and 120 days of sailing are required to deposit within 3 days of booking and bookings made within 90 days of sailing are required to deposit by the end of the booking day. Bookings not deposited as per this schedule will automatically be cancelled. Unless otherwise noted, final payment must be received by Oceania Cruises 90 days prior to cruise departures for voyages of less than 15 days and 150 days prior for voyages 15 days or longer. Oceania Cruises reserves the right to cancel any booking not fully paid at time of final payment. Passport details and special onboard service requests are due at final payment. Payment may be made by personal check, American Express, MasterCard, Discover Card or Visa. For your convenience, your Final Payment may be automatically charged to the credit card used to make the initial deposit. Oceania Cruises does not provide for the care, entertainment or supervision of children.

Guest Etiquette and Consideration | Oceania Cruises, its Masters, General Managers, Chief Pursers or any other deputized figures of authority onboard the vessels reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disembark any guest, in any port of call, for any reason, should they be considered a nuisance to or endanger the “quiet enjoyment” of guests onboard or if they are found to be a nuisance, threat or danger to guests, staff or otherwise hinder the safe and secure operation of the vessel or any associated land programmes. Any guest(s) disembarked from the vessels or associated land programmes are solely responsible for any costs incurred with repatriation. Reservations | To reserve your Oceania cruise, please contact your Travel Agent. International clients must be booked through travel agencies within their respective country of residence.

Changes to a Reservation | Changes to a reservation after deposit and prior to issuance of travel documents may result in assessment of administrative fees and

service charges beyond the control of Oceania Cruises. Administrative fees and service charges will vary and are based on the type of change to your cruise departure, itinerary, hotel or land package. Guests are responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of these changes. Some changes, including name changes, may also be considered cancellations and applicable fees will be assessed. Any changes to a reservation that result in imposition of airline or other cancellation fees are the responsibility of the guest. No refund will be made for unused or partially used portions of the cruise, including shore excursions or air/land programmes arranged by third parties, except as specifically outlined in the Guest Ticket/Contract.

Oceania Cruises reserves the right to amend, cancel or make substitutions for any travel component without prior notice to the guest, including hotels, ports of call or other modes of transportation if, in its opinion, the situation requires a change or cancellation of arrangements. Oceania Cruises does not assume responsibility or liability for any loss, inconvenience, or expense incurred by guests as a result of any changes or cancellations as detailed in the Guest Ticket/Contract. When practicable, Oceania Cruises will promptly notify guests or their Travel Agent of a cruise itinerary change.

Responsibility | Oceania Cruises accepts no liability or responsibility, whether occasioned by railroad, motor coach, private car, boat, aircraft or any other conveyance, for any injuries, damages, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be caused either by reason of defect, through the acts or defaults of any company or person or in carrying out the arrangements of the cruise or cruisetour as a result of any cause beyond the control of Oceania Cruises. Guests specifically release Oceania Cruises from any and all claims for loss or damage to baggage or property or from personal injuries or death, or from loss or delay arising out of the acts, omissions or negligence of any independent contractors, such as air carriers, hotels, shore excursion operators, restauranteurs, transportation providers, medical personnel or other providers of services or facilities. All arrangements made with independent contractors are made solely for the convenience of guests and are done

at the guests’ own risk. Onboard medical personnel are independent contractors. Oceania Cruises specifically disclaims all liabilities for damages for emotional distress, mental suffering or psychological injury of any kind. Tickets, vouchers and any other travel documents are subject to all terms and conditions of the respective suppliers, some of which may limit a supplier’s liability. Please refer to the Guest Ticket/Contract for further detailed information.

Independent Travel Arrangements | Oceania Cruises does not provide air transportation for international guests. Flights can be purchased separately from your Travel Agent along with your cruise and any other land arrangements that you may require. Oceania Cruises has no responsibility with regard to air or land travel arrangements that have been made by third-party agents, including non-refundable, restricted travel or frequent flyer tickets. This exclusion of liability includes consequences to independently arranged air or land travel that may result in last minute changes in the embarkation or debarkation ports, and delays in arrival at any airport or port location. Please refer to the Guest Ticket/Contract for full Terms and Conditions of these exclusions.

Seat Assignments & Pre-Flight Arrangements | Any pre-flight arrangements, such as seat assignments, frequent flyer programmes, wheelchair requests, oxygen or special meal requests, must be made by the guest directly with the airlines based on their policies and procedures. Oceania Cruises cannot confirm any special airline requests unless otherwise specified. These special requests and services should be arranged by your Travel Agent directly with the airlines.

Baggage Policy | Luggage for Oceania Cruises’ guests must be handled pursuant to regulations and tariffs of airlines, government security requirements and ground operators. Luggage exceeding these limitations will be subject to charges as set forth by the individual operators, including any excess baggage charges. Fees for checked luggage are now common and are the responsibility of the guest. Please check with your specific airline(s) for their respective luggage policy. Oceania Cruises reserves the right to refuse any items that may be considered dangerous (explosives, firearms, liquid oxygen, combustible or illegal items). Oceania Cruises reserves the right to search any baggage for security reasons. All hand-carried luggage and personal effects are the responsibility of the guest at all times. Oceania Cruises is not responsible for the loss of or damage to guests’ luggage. Baggage insurance is recommended. Luggage and personal belongings will be taken off the ship upon guest debarkation. Under no circumstances will luggage be kept onboard without the owner of such luggage being on the vessel. Guests may bring a reasonable amount of luggage onboard an Oceania Cruises vessel. No baggage or items heavier than 70 lbs. will be loaded onto or off-loaded from our vessels. Please refer to your Guest Ticket/Contract for all applicable Terms and Conditions.

Documentation and Visas | Passport and Visa requirements, and regulations in regards to vaccination certificates and other health requirements vary by destination. It is the sole responsibility of each guest to obtain and have available the appropriate valid travel and health documents for their chosen itinerary. Any guest travelling without the proper documentation will not be allowed to board the vessel and no refund of cruise fare or any other travel components purchased from Oceania Cruises will be issued. Passports must be valid six months from the date of trip completion. Due to airline security measures, your passport name must match your airline ticket name or you may be denied boarding. Oceania Cruises accepts no responsibility for obtaining required visas nor for advising guests of visa or other immigration requirements beyond the guidelines indicated.

Oceania Cruises does not provide visas, except when guests take Oceania shore excursions in Russia. At selected other ports Oceania Cruises provides visas onboard at a cost if not already purchased – details can be provided upon request.

Travel Advisories | The U.S. Department of State’s Consular Information Sheets are available for every country of the world. Oceania Cruises recommends that all guests visit the U.S. Department of State’s web site at http://travel.state.gov to obtain information concerning the status of any advisories or warnings issued to travellers for specific countries around the world.

Cruise Documents | All final cruise documents and other arrangements made by Oceania Cruises on behalf of the guest(s) will be sent to the designated travel agency or directly to the guest approximately 21 days prior to sail date. A service fee may be charged for early issuance of documentation or for the expedited shipment of documents.

Clothing | Recommended onboard clothing is resort or country club casual. For evening dining, elegant casual resort wear is suggested. We request that casual jeans, shorts, t-shirts or tennis shoes not be worn at dinner.

Boarding | Guests are required to be onboard the vessel at least two hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

Should the (in)actions of any guest(s) result in the vessel not sailing at its scheduled departure time, Oceania Cruises shall assess Late Departure Fees, beginning at $1,000 per guest, to said guest(s) directly responsible for any departure that is delayed more than 15 minutes beyond the scheduled and published departure time, to cover the costs levied against Oceania Cruises by port authorities, governmental and quasi-governmental agencies as agreed and liquidated damages.

Smoking | For the safety and security of all guests and staff onboard, Designated Smoking Areas are available on the forward, starboard corner of the Pool Deck and in the aft, port corner of Horizons. These areas are comfortably furnished and conveniently located near food and beverage areas. Smoking is expressly forbidden in all staterooms and suites, on verandas, or in any areas of the ship other than officially Designated Smoking Areas. Smoking in a stateroom or suite or on a veranda represents a serious fire and safety hazard to all guests and staff. Guests choosing to disregard this policy will be disembarked at the next port of call and may also be subject to additional fees that will be imposed to cover the costs associated with any damage to and the required cleaning of furnishings, verandas and surrounding deck and accommodation areas. All areas other than those specified as Designated Smoking Areas will remain smoke-free. This includes all guest suites and staterooms, verandas, restaurants, public areas, the Casino and all other areas of the ship. Cigar and pipe smoking is only permitted on the forward, starboard corner of the Pool Deck.

Medical Services | Each of our vessels is equipped with limited medical facilities and staffed by internationally accredited medical personnel. Customary Emergency Room fees and charges do apply for medical services and are dictated by the services performed by the ship’s medical staff. Guests needing special services during the voyage, or needing to travel with medical apparatus, including wheelchairs, motorized scooters, oxygen therapy, etc., must advise Oceania Cruises in writing at time of deposit. Please note some ports of call may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility and in such cases, may preclude debarkation for any individual with limited mobility, with or without the aid of a wheelchair or motorized scooter. Oceania Cruises has the right to refuse or revoke passage to anyone who, in its judgement, is in a physical, mental or emotional condition unfit for travel or whose comfort onboard may be compromised due to situations beyond the care that can be provided by Oceania Cruises.

Alcohol Policy | The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages will be limited to guests aged 21 years or older. Oceania Cruises will refuse and prohibits the sale or service of alcoholic beverages to guests under the age of 21 years. Guests are kindly reminded to consume alcohol in moderation. Oceania Cruises reserves the right to prohibit and retain all alcohol bought ashore for consumption onboard the vessel.

Gratuities | How much you choose to tip is a personal matter and completely at your discretion. For your convenience the following gratuities are automatically added to your shipboard account. For guests occupying staterooms, gratuities of $15.00 per guest, per day will be added. For guests occupying Penthouse, Oceania, Vista or Owner’s Suites where Butler Service is provided, gratuities of $22.00 per guest, per day will be added. In addition, an 18% service gratuity is automatically added to all beverage purchases, spa services and dinner at La Reserve. Naturally, guests may adjust gratuities while onboard the vessel at their sole discretion.

Acts of Nature, Strike, or Other Conditions Beyond Control | Neither Oceania Cruises nor the owners or operators of the vessels identified in this brochure shall be liable for delay or inability to perform any condition in this brochure or any part thereof, caused by or arising out of strikes, lockout or labour difficulties or shortages, whether or not Oceania Cruises is a party thereto or to any other acts of nature, force majeure or other circumstances beyond the control of Oceania Cruises.

For Profit Entity | Notwithstanding that Oceania Cruises, at the guest’s option, arranges air transportation, hotel accommodations, ground transfers, shore excursions and other services with independent suppliers of the services, it should be understood that Oceania Cruises, being a for profit entity, earns a profit on the sale of optional services.

Sellers of Travel Laws | Oceania Cruises has obtained exemption from the Sellers of Travel Laws of Florida, California and other similarly situated jurisdictions based upon its status as a common carrier/ocean carrier.
