High School Apprenticeship Program (HSAP) Incentive
For every 220 hours of practical training (up to 880 hours) as an HSAP apprentice, eligible apprentices will receive a tuition exemption for one level of training (up to four levels).

What is Apprenticeship?
Earn While You LearnApprenticeship is a form of post-
secondary education – like university or college.
Instead of paying for education, apprentices get paid!
Apprentices earn a salary the first day on the job!
Every level apprentices completes increases their rate of pay!
Apprentices … EARN while they LEARN.
spend 40-44 weeks/year on the job and
attend school for 6-8 weeks at a time
complete their trade within 2 – 5 years (average is 4 years)
receive a Certificate of Qualification in a designated trade giving them journeyperson status
have most of their tuition costs covered by the Manitoba Government
increase their chances of obtaining a job immediately after training
