Sivasagar Tank

Kareng Ghar and Talatal Ghar

You will get surprised at the seven storied castle with four floors above the ground and three below. This architecture of the monument is very innovative with the four floors arranged in gradually receding tower. The tunnel beneath the Kareng Ghar connects the Talatal Ghar. It was initially built for the purpose of serving as a military base for the Ahom Kings and used as an emergency exit during wars. The Architecture of the Talatal Ghar has resemblance of the contemporary Mughals. It carries many historical and archaeological values for the researchers as well.

Vishnu Dole

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple has a unique architectural value in itself. It stands majestically in scenic location of Sivasagar.

Devi Dole

Third of the famous temples In Sivasagar, Devi Dole is dedicated to Hindu Goddess Durga. This temple is located adjacent to the Shiva Dole and Vishnu Dole.

Gargaon Palace

Built by the 15th Ahom King, this palace was made of wood and stones around 14 kms away from Sivasagar. The present structure was rebuilt by another Ahom King.
