1. Geological Condition of Cambodia and Takeo
Cambodia is a country in Southeast Asia and its approximate geographical coordinates are 13°00N 105°00E.
Rock Unit:◦Cambodia has three types of rock:1. Sedimentary rock( A whole country) 2. Metamorphic rock(Ratanakiri & B.T)3. Igneous rock( Mostly in Mondulkiri)

rock( Tapok Tangdong Mountain)◦This mountain is deposited and
covered by Devonian-Carboniferous(Black shale and Sandstone)
◦The surface area is cover by Old alluvium and Eluvial sand
• Structure( Iron ore deposit in Takeo):
◦Supposed faults( Northwest to Southeast)◦Cart track( Old alluvium and eluvial sand)
A small central part of much larger tectonic unit which includes the Indochina peninsula
It has syncline and anticline that are in Indosinia fold-belts
It is in the Carboniferous-Triassic.

channels of streams and rivers can contain
low levels of metals derived from weathering
of mineralized rocks within the upstream
catchment.

deposit (whether it has iron or not)

Magnetic, airborne and gravity survey
The knowledge of the lithologies and structure for the property
The understanding of the property’s regional and local setting
Detection of possible new iron ore targets for ground follow-up
Estimate of the exploration budget and helps in decision
making for the next exploration phase. It minimizes risks and
costs that may be involved in undertaking further exploration
program.
