Corporate Finance Faculty Annual Reception

The Corporate Finance Faculty is the ICAEW’s centre of professional excellence in corporate finance.

The faculty’s network includes more than 80 member organisations, drawn from major professional services groups, specialist advisory firms, companies, banks and alternative lenders, private equity, venture capital, law firms, brokers, consultants, policy-makers and academic experts. More than 40 per cent of the faculty’s membership is from beyond ICAEW.

The faculty contributes to policy development and many consultations by international organisations, governments, regulators and other professional bodies. It provides a wide range of services, events and media to its members, including its highly regarded magazine Corporate Financier.

The faculty also provides technical expertise for the ICAEW’s Diploma in Corporate Finance.

CORPORATE FINANCIER MAGAZINEThe faculty continues to develop its highly regarded flagship publication, Corporate Financier, in order to keep members up to date with emerging trends, policy and technical issues and opportunities among businesses, investors and advisers. The magazine is also available in electronic format.

GUIDELINESThe technical guidelines set out an authoritative approach to best practice on many specialist aspects of corporate finance. Many faculty members keep these publications on core areas of corporate finance to hand, or refer to them online. Recent issues include Debt for Deals, Contemporary Valuation Issues in Deals, Completion Mechanisms and Growth Through Asset-Based Finance. The faculty has also published extensive guidance of prospective financial information.

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIPThe faculty’s Technical Committee is responsible for technical work in the area of corporate finance. The committee reviews and comments on draft regulation and legislation that may impact the day-to-day work of Corporate Finance Faculty members.
