Task Team on Business Dynamics, Demography and Entrepreneurship
• Team Leader: INEGI-Mexico
• Members: Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Georgia, The Netherlands, as
well as UNSD, UN-DESA, Eurostat, ILO, UNCTAD, UNIDO, ITU,
UNECE and OECD
• The task team on business dynamics, business demography
and entrepreneurship is working toward the identification of a
set of key indicators on Business Dynamics, Demography and
Entrepreneurship
Introduction (1)
Task Team on Business Dynamics, Demography and Entrepreneurship
• These indicators will take into account new and emerging
determinants of entrepreneurial activity, such as innovation and
communication technology, research and development, e-
commerce, globalization, and skills development, as well as its
impacts on productivity and employment (business dynamics)
• The task team plans to conduct an assessment of national
practices, covering data collection and challenges to the
compilation, in order to identify data gaps among countries for
developing recommendations and guidance on the
harmonization of these statistics in the long term

1) Topic leaders and IOs will provide their input for
strengthening the policy framework in the fields of BD,
BD and E

2) All TT members will select the key indicators
(October 31, 2019)
3) Based on the agreed key indicators, all TT members will develop a draft of the needed
questions for each topic
(November 29, 2019)
4) INEGI will send the UNSD the questionnaire in order to
be evaluated with the questionnaires of the other
Task Teams
